pensioner enters jehovah's witness church with machine gunpublished: 31 jul 09 09:13 cet.

an 82-year-old man who entered a meeting of jehovahs witnesses armed with a submachine gun, three magazines, a samurai sword and a knife has been arrested, bielefeld police reported on friday.. some 81 members of the church were gathered in their kingdom hall on dunlopstrae in the citys sennestadt district when a congregation member noticed the masked elderly man enter the vestibule waving the machine gun around 8:45 pm on thursday.. .

the witness quietly informed the congregation and directed them to escape the building via emergency exit, a police statement said.. .

Witnesses "Policing" People...Is It True?

my sister told me once she likes to "police" people, that it was sort of a game she liked to play.

she is true to her word, she does just that.

always seeking the negative, rarely acknowledging positive...anything.. is this common among witnesses?

If Mary had reported first to the body of elders, they would have been faced with a similar decision. How would they handle confidential information coming into their possession? They would have had to make a decision based on what they felt Jehovah and his Word required of them as shepherds of the flock. If the report involved a baptized Christian who was actively associated with the congregation, they would have had to weigh the evidence as did Mary in determining if they should proceed further. If they decided that there was a strong possibility that a condition of "leaven" existed in the congregation, they might have chosen to assign a judicial committee to look into the matter.

Whatever happened to the TWO WITNESS RULLING , if they don’t have two witnesses, it should been dropped, unless of course they squeezed it out of her through their interrogation methods

What my experience is, is that JWs approach and tell they because they were at a certain place at a certain time happened to see or hear that so and so, and then bring that information on to the elder in question, because they do not feel

That is not the way I read the scriptures!

There is a procedure for doing things like this;

Math.5 v 25 if that does not work then, Math18 v15. Most of the problems could be sorted out there and then by using principles set out in those two scriptures, without elders.

By going to the elders you give them the opportunity to prove that they are in charge, plus you make them break that rule, because they should say to the informant, what about Math 5 and 18. Before they get involved.

But they DON’T because they are inflated with their own position, THEY CAUSE SO MUCH TROUBLE BY THEIR INABILITY TO READ SCRIPTURE getting involved when they should not..

i often wondered about this when i first started questioning things.. .

any jw that has died in decades past, how are they even eligible for ressurection?

during the time in which they died, they were never taught "the truth", as everything changed.. any jw today, looking forward to armageddon coming tomorrow, isn't being taught "the truth" either, as will be made manifest by more doctrinal change.

I don’t see how you can compare the witnesses to the KGB

The witnesses are far worse.

The difference between the KGB and the witnesses is, you can reason with the KGB.

If you introduced parastroika! to Russia, why can't you sort out the witnesses

There was time when a disabled sister was moving house, her husband had just been disfellowshiped, and could not take time off work.

She was incapable of doing all the necessary things needed to make this move, not even able to bend down.

My wife and I helped out for a few days.

We were seen helping these ones by a M/S little F**$$**, he got great pleasure in reporting us to the body of elders.

This is one of the reasons I dislike the elders, they could not see the need of that sister, they just wanted to flex their muscles.

They tried to council me, I don’t take that nonsense easily, they did not get away with this unchristian approach to me.

BUT THAT’S THE WAY THE GLORIOUS ONES ARE

Any DF'd or DA'd people ever get visits from Elders?

just saw the thread from otwo talking about the call he got from an elder who wanted to meet up.

it go me thinking about my own situation.

me and my wife have been gone for a while.

My wife and I have been out for about 6 years, not one elder has called (I thought they had a policy of calling every year? ) most probably too far gone!!!.

I’m dying for them to call, I have amassed a three volume folder, just waiting for them to call.

Is the WTS preparing for a MASS EXODUS?

hobo ken and i were chatting about this yesterday.. the wts has past experience of losing vast numbers of members very quickly.

from their post-25 and post-75 experiences they will know how best to prepare their organisational structure to remain afloat when they experience another exodus.. we're only 5 years from the 100 year anniversary of ct russell walking into the dining room and announcing the gentile times had ended.

since then, millions of people have molded and adjusted their lives and personal expectations based on the date 1914. the wts must know that 2015 is going to bring with it one or two upset jws.... so, is the wts preparing for a mass exodus right now?.
