we have made numerous requests for this item, but after all this time we are still waiting.. our latest e-mail was to ask for our money to be returned.

i've been lurking here for many months.

i served as an elder for many years, and regular pioneer for much longer until recently.

i'm also a mts grad and was used extensively on the circuit and district level.

No lies please,

With a name like that, how can you possibly stay in the Org.

I found in my time rubbing shoulders with them, it is second nature for them to lie, even when confronted with this lie, they will still carry on digging this hole. I have always had an intense dislike for them for this very reason.(someone else always comes off worse, never them).

Think carefully about your exit strategy, you only get one stab at it.

Everything About Being An Elder is Weird (my misc rambling memories of being an elder)

for any brother who is a jehovah's witness, the goal is put before them to reach out for the privilege of being an elder.

i can only speak for myself, but being born into the religion, i wanted to be an elder since i was 5. i would have much rather wanted to be a doctor or engineer, but those are the breaks..... i'll skip the part about what it takes to reach out, all the crap you have to put up with as a ministerial servant to get appointed, and go straight to the reality.. i know many elders who sincerely just wanted to be shepherds.

i did want the spotlight.

I have come across many elders like that, I didn’t take them very easily, I know doubt would have reacted to some of your previous actions, But I respect you TREMENDOUSLY for the way you have seen the real light. And prepared to say the things you have said.

If so many more had done the same, how different things could have been (he who want to be first will be last). But I found their ambitions got in the way of Christianity, many I came across never had a responsible job in their life, never been in charge of people, did not know how to handle situations.

Jeff I shall look at your picture on your threads with a lot more respect.

Talking of plumbing when doing work on a new k/h, that was purchased a few years back.

One elder (P.S.) closed the feed pipe on the main water run, by hitting it with a hammer!!!!!!!!!! It obviously created higher pressure to get out.

Same elder, sorting out the pipe for the toilet waste had to join up with the main supply in the road, got his fall wrong, the effluent came back to the k/h (returning to your own vomit).

Another elder put all the wallpaper on upside down,

Whole body of elders purchased air conditioning for the hall, it didn’t work £3.500 pounds down the drain (even though there were qualified bro’s in the hall.

ALL BECAUSE THEY INSIST THEY ARE IN CHARGE.

Only they are capable of doing things

The art of good managment....is to deligate......................they were useless

THEY COULDN’T COOK A RICE PUDDING!!!!!!!

Love or duty ?

my wife (twink) and i left the org.

6years ago after 30 years of manipulation by the system that is controlled by men.. the both of us have finished with all religions..............but remain firm in our beleif in god and jesus christ !!..

the last 18 months we have been looking after twinks mum at our home after dad died, she now suffers from alzheimers which now causes a great deal of effort to keep abreast of demands made by the illness.. mum, every fortnight wants to be taken to church (she has been a catholic all her life 93 years old).. twink has no reservations about taken her, and sits out the meeting with her, under sufferance of what they get up too.. the question to any witness who may be reading this is, if she was still a witness, how would her actions be viewed.. would her act of love towards her mother be accepted by the org..............or would she be answerable to the mighty glorious ones for mixing with babylon the great?.

If the WTS is not a False Prophet, what is it? surely the Bible identifies them as Apostates

through out the wts history it has claimed to be the only channel that god has selected to be his mouthpiece on earth, it calls itself ; the greater david, the jonnadab class, the faithful and discreet slave, the elijah class, the fulfillers of trumpet blasts in revelation, so on and so forth.

yet from it's inception by ct russel it promoted a unique brand of biblical beliefs that were meant to be accepted as bible truth, 1799 1874/1914, miracle wheat, the pleiades star constellation, the occult content found in the studies in the scriptures/divine plan of the ages etc, would jesus himself have selected a religious group who were promoting such beliefs?

impossible, also russel was embroiled in a serious sex scandal that was never satisfactorily answered.. the reign of joe rutherford whose first proclamation was to announce that he had served as a district judge, which was shown to be a lie, he went on to build beth sharim a luxurious house in expectation of the resurrection to earth of the faithful worthies , a failed prophecy that surprisingly failed to come true.
