by KAYTEE inwhat i found that upset elders more than most things was, when you made them verify their statement with scriptural backing.. when you showed their complete lack of common sense coupled with lack of christian knowledge.. on one occasion when having a heated discussion, i constantly made them refer to the org.
book for the answer, they ridiculed me, saying "are you getting your little green book out again".. all i was trying to point out was the answer (according to the society) on the subject at hand, most organisation will have some sort of code of conduct, the little green book was theirs.. they wanted to be right in all things even if it meant going against the org.. kt.

Hello fokyc,
You must have the same motley lot that I’ve had dealings with, you would think that they would get their act together wouldn’t you, or is that expecting too much.
That’s the one big thing I miss having left them, that is to have a good row with them, it don’t do any good, but it makes you feel a lot better afterwards.

need help find a scripure about truth for wise...not just the foolish
by oompa indoes anyone know of a scripture or scriptures that indicate that wise or perhaps smarter people can understand jesus teachings better than the simpleminded?.
my dad e-mailed me a response recently using the scripture where jesus said things had "been hidden" from smart or educated people, but revealed them to stupid people or babies or whatever...............then i saw a post here in the last few weeks i meant to mark that said the exact opposite...........the the truth was for wise people or such..........

by VM44 inin the 1920's the watcthower had the "millions now living will never die".
in the proclaimer's book there is a photo of a bible students book booth with a sign that said in large letters, "millions now living will never die!
this is literally true.

You say about believing the scriptures, let me first say I believe in Jehovah and Jesus.
But the amount of times they got it wrong (end of system) even though they have the same scriptures, sriptures that they use against other religions but not themselves Mark 13 v 32 being one……..concerning that day or hour NOBODY knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the son BUT THE FATHER,
THEY PUT THEMSELVES ABOVE JESUS CHRIST.
There are so many other scriptures that Jehovah has given us, But we have got to use the intelligence that Jehovah gave us to make a correct judgement

I did not trust one single elder, NO they were not like me, they found it too easy to lie, and they knew they could get away with almost anything.
When they gave talks, it was just pretty words, sometimes not pretty.
I publicly called them in a watchtower session that they were FAT ELDERS this was in line with scriptures that was being discussed in Ez 7.
Another watchtower session (Isaiah 32 crag in the desert) I mentioned that they turned out to be just a mirage no bodily substance at all.
I also accused them PUBLICALLY OF Perjury…………..this made two circuit overseers to call on me.
I put up with it at the time, thinking that this was still Jehovahs Org . But now I find them absolutely detestable.
