so i have been told that all kingdom halls are to have a large jw.org sign placed prominently out the front..... can anyone confirm this?.

in our letter dated february 19, 2014, to all congregations in the united states branch ter- ritory, you were informed of a special weekend program to be held on saturday, november 8, 2014, and sunday, november 9, 2014. this program is in connection with the branch visit scheduled for the united states and will be broadcast to locations throughout the branch territory.

we are pleased to inform you of some of these arrangements.. since the goal is to allow as many as possible the opportunity to benefit from this branch visit program, provision will be made to allow any kingdom hall properly equipped to receive the broadcast.

recently had a discussion with a surgeon who said jw parents "usually" (her word, not mine) privately say they will take blood if the provider gets a court order.. yet another person, with no connection to dubs and no motive to make this up, saying this same thing.

interesting.. i'm surprised the thought police have not come out with an article saying jehoopla reads the hearts and judges as bloodguilty those who are relieved when forced to take blood..

The genius of the new donation arrangement

ive given this new arrangement a lot of detailed thought and how greatly it benefits the wt and how much it puts a strain on each congregation.. first, let me explain how the old arrangement worked.. you had 3 donation boxes in each kingdom hall.

one for worldwide work, one for kingdom hall construction and one for congregation contributions.. the congregation contribution box accounted for about 60-75% of all donations.

the world wide work box probably accounted for 20-30% and the kingdom hall construction for about 5% of the contributions.

Unless you need a new build or full refund, you will probably be told that the money isn't meant for small jobs, just save up and sort that yourself.

Oh, and while you're saving up you can't reduce your monthly tithe.

the catholic church has tradition and magesterium.. protestants have sola fide and sola scriptura.. mormons have 12 apostles and a priesthood.. muslims have the mullahs and the hidden imam.. 7th day adventists have the "visions" of ellen white.. jehovah's witnesses have the mouthpiece of god; i.e.

fds or faithful and discreet slave.. .

all these religions have something in common--mystical links to justify their own authority!.

1. For a start, there is no longer a slave 'class'.

2. The slave only came into existence in 1919.

3. There was no slave in 1918, unclean or otherwise.

4. The slave is not the remnant, just the GB.

Only by studying earlier publications and digging back through previous issues of The Watchtower kept in the library at your local Kingdom Hall.
There is much in the way of spiritual riches and aids toward mature knowledge in these earlier publications, and their study is most certainly worth your time.

John 11:25 - Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.

the greek word here translated 'exercises faith' is more often rendered 'believes in' or 'has faith in'.

The WT and NWT like to skew thngs into being a works based religion, therefore 'exercising' suits their agenda very well, even if it's not what Jesus said or meant.

(Incidentally the same is true for John 3:16 "For God loved the world so much he gave his only begotten son in order that everyone 'exercising faith'..." In the NWT, most surrounding translations of the same greek word are 'believe', which is how other Bibles consistently render it.)
