So the official spokesperson for the WT says "shunning is a myth".
Seems they are highly ashamed of their (easily provable) beliefs.
this may have been posted before.
however, if you want to read the article about jw shunning and denial of this practice, then have a read.
there is mention of redefining "charity" in terms of how that operates.. http://www.smh.com.au/national/jehovahs-witnesses-a-cruel-cult-20130315-2g5x3.html.

one or two of you have noticed that i use derogatory terms when talking about matters religion.
i offer no apology.
you do, however, deserve an explanation.. my father, bless him and now dead, was a survivor of belsen, the german concentration camp.
1. some say we are all gods, and god is omnipresent..
2. some say: god created his children who later challenged his sovereignty, who in turn asked his eldest son: go down to the world, do not resist the wicked, but be murdered by them, the value of which will be used to atone the sins of the world..
3. universe arose out of a big bang.
iconoclastic "how giraffe got its long neck."
This is well understood.
Very many generations ago one of Chuck Norris's ancestors kicked a horse under the chin.
From that day on we got giraffes.
Ew, nasty.
I'm not trying it!
are there any changes to the new procedure?
it seems to me that the co doesn't ask the candidate questions any longer.
they just decide who they will appoint and announce it at the next weekly meeting.
this is a crappy letter from the watchtower.
i'm only posting it to show how micro-managers these fools are.
and at the end, they say: "we should avoid making specific rules about somewhat technical matters".
I guess that when you have given your thinking abilities wholesale to someone else, you should expect this level of control and interference.
Anyone with a functioning ear should be able to tell when music is too loud or too quiet, but no, Jehovah's people are not even up to that basic task.
No wonder they don't have TV's at home, they don't have the skills needed to set the volume correctly.

Chistard is actually a conflation of christian and b**tard.
That will come as a surprise to most.

Doltologist One or two of you have noticed that I use derogatory terms when talking about matters religion.
This was your opening statement. Your whole post goes on to give reasons why you use this terminology. It shouldn't come as a surprise that I respond to it.
To give you my view on religion (not just Chistianity) in history, I'd say it has added to mankind in some aspects, but been detrimental in other aspects.
Doltologist Is this what is important to you, terminology?
Yes, terminology and language is important of course. Important here, important in politics, important in business, important in life.
i was told that today by a jw...no more to say.
It's all true!!

That's a pretty incredible story - thanks for sharing it.
Personally I don't like the terms Christards, Jokehovians, the LIEble, the Babble, sky wizard, sky daddy etc.
I can understand that people enjoy ridiculing something they dislike, but when it's persistent it looks like a juvenile high-five each time. A "look at me, I'm being abusive, aren't I clever, and you can't stop me" kind of thing.
When I see them the first couple of times I think here's someone who hates the WT.
When I see the same months/years later I think just get over it, it's not good for you. Time to grow up.
Even Oubliettes "Let's review" signature is tiresome, not to say I don't like his posts though, because I do and I read them all.
I also think these terms are red flags for lurkers.
Got a lingering doubt and come here to see what others might think? See these terms and run for the hills - everything you were taught about apostate websites was true.
If you don't really care about that and are more interested in getting your made up words out there, well that's your choice.
You can be more effective, convincing and persuasive by using proper words than made up ones. Read any of Terry's posts to see what I mean.
All IMHO.
