  Another year done......thank you JW.net

  i have just finished the most difficult year of my academic life by far, since august i have had 4 days off.. the exams were from hell, i ran out of money with 2 months to go, 2 months rent to pay and 2 huge exams to go.

  with few friends and family around, it made for a scary situation.. but i did it.... today i got the 'pass'.... 6 years done, one to go.... i am it i'm the final year of doctor training.

  for all the kind words and encouragement from people here, thank you xxxx .

  I want to see the end of hourly reporting.

  I want proper charitable activities that Jesus would be proud of.

  The end of deceptive quote mining in the publications.

  The end of Theocratic Warfare.

  Elders to mind their own business with personal matters and choices.

  Lose the obsession with being 'different' for the sake of it.

  Legal compliance and financial transparency.

  Cultivate love and care, not fear, gossip and guilt.

  hi folks.

  one of the elders was sent to our house to talk to me the possibility of being recommended as elder.

  he did not know however that one of the elders who is a friend of mine had already divulged this future meeting.

  You would have a lot more of that coersion and manipulation if you'd accepted.

  Funny how they put the screws on you to justify something which doesn't need it, but you ask them about their law on beards....

  A question about the Annual Meeting

  is everyone invited to the annual meeting?

  is it kind of like the memorial where everyone goes at different times?

  or, are there only certain kh's invited from certain areas?

  Loads will be going, but not everyone.

  If you are a brother with a position you get invited.

  Pioneers get an invite, and long timers get an invite.

  If you are young in the truth, a struggling sheep or have some recent 'history' then you don't qualify.

  NEW BIBLE RELEASE

  had a brief chat with an elder from a distant congregation today: long story short - he has spoken to "someone" at london branch regarding the 'famine' of bibles within the org, and was told by this "someone" to just wait until nearer the end of this year.. he said it sounds like we're going to get an announcement via the annual meeting!!.

  i said that it was strange that two world wars, the spanish 'flu, the wall street crash & the great depression couldn't stop the society producing bibles, so something major must be causing it now.. does anyone have any more info on the new york court action against the wtbts and the nwt writing committee?.

  I'll be at the announcement in October and will post the relevant news as it comes.

  Zealous Witnesses who never had children and regret it now.

  i had two close friends in the org.

  one is in her early thirties and got married last year and the other one is single and in her late twenties.

  after reading coc, i couldn't help but feel sad at how ray and his wife felt regret at putting the religion first and not having any children.

  We have a number of middle aged to older sisters in our congregation who have never married.

  I don't know any other organisation which would do this.

  Even the Moonies arranged multi-couple weddings.

  It's one of the things which saddens me the most.
