The extreme fixation on Satan that JWs and many fundamentalist Christians have is psychotic. -

"Persecution's coming... let's build a new HQ". "Don't loose your joy people, we're building a new HQ. Ain't that cool? Oh, btw, you need to donate more, go out in service more, we need more money and more members, so we can pay for that new HQ. Have we mentioned the new HQ?" -

Jehovah's Witnesses Are "The Religion Of Hatred!" Why Would We Want To Return To Your Organization?
by PokerPlayerPhil ini saw some of the quotes coming out of the new assembly brochure "return to jehovah", why would anyone abused by the congregation decide to return for more hate by the congregation?
jehovah's witness are the first one's who tell you "we are god's organization because we are the only religion that has the love jesus christ spoke about!
", that's a big whooper!

Even Jehovah, if he were real, wouldn't want to return to his own "Organization".

The poor and deprived life of JW children.
by Esse quam videri ini find it hard to believe that adults on this forum make such a big deal about not celebrating birthdays, x-mas, easter, halloween, etc, etc, etc.
i grew up as a jw kid and it actually made me feel good, being different from the other kids in school.
we went to meetings.

I would gladly have been deprived of having all that fear instilled into me as a child. JW children get some very distorted ideas hammered into their innocent little minds, which may not ever leave them fully. It's a violation of an innocent being and is inexcusable. -

I thought they aren't part of the "world". Better not be proud of having its best website then. Can't believe anyone could mistake that to be real for even a second. And the claim being true (as some in that forum say)? Sheesh...

Watchtower Really Does Totally Take The Position of Jesus
by OnTheWayOut inwatchtower has said that jesus is not the mediator of anyone but for the anointed.
then they tell you that they are jehovah's organization and that the flock should obey them.. basically, the watchtower corp. and it's governing body is taking the place of jesus as the mediator for people.
christianity, even by it's name, focuses on making jesus known.

APRIL= MEMORIAL = Time to review the "Mystery Doctrine" secrets
by Terry inapril is memorial month, and a great time to learn about the watch tower mystery doctrine.. .
several former members of the wts have written about a secret teaching called the "mystery doctrine" about the anointed as the christ.. this doctrine, which has never been discussed publically since the death of jf rutherford, but which, equally, has not been repudiated either, teaches that the word "christ" refers to a person, the one we know as jesus, but the expression "the christ" has been invested with a separate, deeper meaning.
it refers to the "christ class" those making up the 144,000 plus jesus .. writing in his book, "apocalypse delayed" penton tells us:.

Wow, I've never heard of this before. This is one of the most interesting things I've read in a while. Thanks, Terry.

"We're calling on your neighbours to promote a website"
by Simon inwow, it's true - they don't call to 'promote god's kingdom' anymore but just their website!.
we just had an old lady call and tell us that was exactly what they were doing and it has "lots of good things on their for children".
yeah, right ... sparlock?.

The strange thing is that a lot of Witnesses are excited about this silly campaign. After all the campaigns over the years this is a parody. The Watchtower announcing Jehovah's Website.

Thoughts on the new 'God's Kingdom Rules!' book
by sd-7 ini was feeling a little melancholy earlier this week and i decided to start reading wt literature again, just to see what was new and improved.
and it seems that, as has consistently been the case, the more i read of the literature, the more i see that i made the right choice to leave.. the first chapter goes into explaining what the kingdom is, then it looks like they must've essentially cut and pasted from the recent wt study articles about the 'harvest' illustration and about the two groups of anointed = one generation, but there's a third group of anointed who aren't part of 'this generation' (but, i imagine, probably will be someday, i mean, if two groups decades apart in age can be part of one generation, why not three?).
it's interesting, looking at it again after all this time.
