i would like to say thank you for your work on the royal commission, particularly in your handling of the jehovah's witnesses elders and experts during questioning.

Two days ago I also wrote him an e-mail and got a quick thanks from him. Today I had an e-mail from the Royal Commission in my inbox, thanking me for my mail. I had written some personal experiences (fortunately no child sexual abuse) and observations about the general mental and emotional abuse in JW land. It's great that this gets taken into consideration as well and I was surprised that Mr. Stewart forwarded my mail.

what was that blessing part about?

i kept hearing pioneers talking about the blessings that they were receiving and as i looked at their lives objectively, there really isn't anything special about them.

maybe they are just more appreciative of things than other people.

Anti-JW billboard going up in Texas

the first ever billboard has been crowd funded on reddit and will be going up.

i'm curious to know if it will cause a spark in any jw's who already have questions or doubts and lead them to research into the child abuse cases and lead them to the thought that the wt and gb are not inspired or gods mouthpiece.

at the very least it will provide people a topic of conversation and questions to the jw's who knock on their door: "so whats this whole sex abuse in kingdom halls thing about i saw on the billboard down the road?

I am surprised how many people believe JWs to be nice and completely harmless, so I'd rather see public awareness change.

the man would wait for the witnesses to move on, and then he would bring the dog back into the house.

the brothers were never able to speak to the man.

i've been dating a jw girl for about 4 years and we've recently had a lot of issues with the fact that her family doesn't like that i'm not a jw.

i've been looking into the religion and am interested in it.

but is it wrong to join just so i don't lose her?

How Come the Watchtower does not admit "We Don't Know Anything About Bible Prophecy" and come clean?

so many of us have been caught up in the negative effects this religion placed over our lives and those who we love very much.

i am the first one to tell my kids "i don't know s&^^ about this or that subject", if the watchtower is truly our brother or spiritual mother why don't they tell us the following questions we all have asked them?.

1. we screwed up about 1914 and "life is short, go live your life to the fullest while maintaining justice and morality, don't hurt your fellow man by making his life screwed up!.

The Watchtower organization is a parasitic entity, figuratively speaking. With psychopathic traits. You can't try to understand it with "normal" human reasoning, that is sane. Why do they lie? Why do they exploit? Because they can, because that is the nature of the organization, as with all of these organizations. When it becomes nature, being honest, fair, caring simply is not possible, because that has become unnatural. That option is non existent, something they can't even begin to grasp. You are looking at something insane and trying to understand it with a sane mind.

Walk away... By JW standards she's not doing right just by dating you. And that you've not been invited by her family should tell you all you need to know. People either accept you and show treat you fairly, or they do not. DO NOT ever try to do things to get another person's approval. It is not worth it. And JWs are the most conditional people. Besides that you never know how your girlfriend will become in future. What if she suddenly becomes more strict?
