i have never understood why, according to the wt, jws are okay (conscience matter) with birth control methods like the pill, mini-pill, depo-provera, and iuds.
i am not trying to spark an abortion debate.
but i was actually angry at the wt when i started researching how the mini-pill prevented pregnancy.
Well, as I understand it (and I've not checked up on it recently) but you cannot be 100% sure with any post intercourse method of birth control that fertilisation has not occured. Of course different pills work in different ways but it's always been very very dodgy ground in my experience.
If I've misunderstood it then let me know. I might even look it up in the WT lib to see what it has to say on it.
i know that this may be impossible and will surely get me a judicial comittee but i'm tired of keeping mum about how i feel.
so, i'm going to e-mail my two friends (two women under 35 who both got baptised within the last five years and one married a brother this year.they're both pioneers) and tell them what's bothering me and ttatt.. i'm going to do it tomorrow night.
i have some points already but i may have left out some.
Please listen to MindBlown, LeavingWT and others. I am in a real dilema atm - I have reached a point of no return in terms of my own faith but am having to play things really carefully so I can bring my family out without too much repercussions. LeavingWT has been particuarly helpful with his advice. I have to tread very carefully with even my wife.
If you blurt it out to your friends then it will almost certainly explode into a JC, disfellowshipping and a loss of all your friends. I have always been open minded, liberal and not too gullible but I know that I would not have accepted what I accept now until I was really ready for it.

i was having a cup of coffee in my lounge room today,looking out the window , when a group of people were slowly walking past my house,im on the end of the street,4 crossed to the other side and started d2d.while the 4 on my side of the street,dawdled past my house and started next door.....i guess i`m marked ,blacklisted,you would think they would try to talk to my wife though wouldnt you ?
in the 5 years we have been here i dont think they have ever contacted her.so much for their effective witnessing.

Are you DF'ed/DA'ed? If so then not surprising. The R&F will leave it to the elders who will likely not do what they are meant to either.

Saw a bit of this last night. Anyone know if the couple were baptised? One set of parents attended the wedding and the other didn't. All the guys mates gave him the 24 birthdays he's never had and he had a couple of cigars so he is toast (not that he cares I guess!). He was very into science and obviously educated - I guess that's why he decided his parents way was not for him. He also gave a nice speech which hinted at his feelings of being an outsider as a youth.
It's on iPlayer and repeated over the next week so anyone in the UK can catchup on this pretty easily.
i did.. most of the elders were decent men but i'd say a third weren't the brightest bulbs in the sky..

Your intelligent bods... was one of them a chap who is a very good guitar player and played in a band for a long time? Still an elder and has pioneered. Ran a food related business as well I think. If so I know who he is.
