To JWs Adam and Eve will always be literal. There is too much riding on it for that doctrine to change, even to something representing a point in mankind's history. TBH however you can call this part of Genesis whatever you want - fact or allegory - the problem is if you continue to assert any kind of divine inspiration and import to it. The reality is that it is simply a story with no divine meaning.

Here are my unabridged notes. They prolly don't make sense but I was just noting things down looking for any major crap. Most of it was normal junk. There were a couple of interesting things.
The brother who did the first talk said that we had to be careful of what was presented in factual programmes on the blood issue. Very weird.
The DO said that we don't have lots of dos and donts, few rules and we are guided by principles. I wondered what principles it is then that would mean no brother would even dream of coming to give a talk at the assembly in a sports jacket and trousers or why no one with a beard will be used on the platform at the assembly or get asked to oversee a department on the RBC.
He also used an illustration about our conscience maturing through use. He said about what would his arm be like if it was still as it was when he was born. He then said how had it grown and answered through use, moving his right arm up and down as if he was in the famous deaf video... Very funny.
I went out during the baptism talk and feel asleep through one of the others and the WT.

Good time for R&F to preemptively question GB validity
by irondork inwith the new light in the july 15 watchtower, now might be the perfect time for rank and file members to question wether or not the big boys are who they say they are.
in light of the fact that the men who claim to be the sole channel of communication for all mankind could not even grasp their own identity for the last 100 years, wouldn't now be a good time to turn the tables on the elders who are so quick to drag a questioning dub to the back room and demand loyalty to the governing body?.
wouldn't now be a good time to put the july 15 watchtower in the middle of the table and ask to see the credentials on these men without fear of being suspected of apostacy?

If only it were that simple irondork. Unfortunately this is just anothe time when you have to show your faith by swallowing the junk hook line and sinker. The concept of Jehovah always having an organisation, always having a hierarchy, always having a recognised channel is too strong a mind feck to break. The loyalty question will always be there. FDS first, Christ as head second.

i have googled it several times and it seems right up there with big foot and the loch ness monster.
there are stong emotional writings that describe the events of such, but few peole have very much evidence other then videos of (seemingly) random cars and such.. i ask because i was a rather involved member of the organization and have happily been god-free for 15 years.

I don't know about any kind of BoE sponsored activities against inactive or DA/DF'ed individuals but the classic is watching "watchmen" following interested ones and others not dressed as a sheeple around the convention. It's like the worlds worst covert surveillance. If you have someone who poses a threat (real or imagined) it gets worse with the attendants joining in trying to look like nothing is happening...
