Hi, there! Ray mentioned that argument in his book; in search of Christian freedom. Sounds better than the WT understanding. Also, believeing that the harlot is false religion is just a product of rutherfords hate after he was jailed.

A Different View of "Peace and Security"
by Bobcat insince the wt this week has the prediction of a "peace and security" event, i thought i would include a comment from the new american commentary (nac, d. michael martin, pp.159-60) on 1 thessalonians 5:2, 3.. here is the wt's position, according to this week's wt study (sep 2012 study edition, pp.3 4):.
1 th 5:2, 3 is a "future development.".
it happens "just before that day of jehovah.".

what are the JW rules once baptised??
by Kate82 inon my other post 'thinking of becoming a jw' people mentioned that once i was baptised i would be told / given rules of what i can / cant do, things like: how i act, dress, how i can have sex with my husband??
what i can and cant eat ( according to some research ive done).
i would be really interested to hear as many of these rules now - as i think its too late after one is baptised.. i would be grateful of as many as possible about anything any topic even thouse i havent mentioned.. thanks x.

Most important RULE! Never disagree openly with the watchtower. If so, you will be turned in to the elders. And if you do not repent, they will set you up with a JC and DF you.

Hi, DD!
"..in the health field"
Sounds very wise! Many of the health proffesions are very rewarding. In Norway you need high school to enter all types of health education! Over here, you also can take it part time. As you said, it would be good to do some research before you make up your mind!

Loyalty Questions in Judicial Hearings
by 00DAD ini've seen several posts on various threads about a particular "loyalty question" or two that elders ask during judicial hearings.
granted it's been several years since i was an elder, but i never heard of this practice.
is there anything officially in print on this from the wt?

I guess many elders feel really powerful and maybe that position becomes a substitute for a normal career with a rewarding job. To be a chosen sheperd for God's people must be a hypnotising experience.

00DAD, they asked me: do you view yourself as a jw and do you accept the fds. Those two questions were asked several times in different ways. I said I liked many of the articles, but some other articles presented lifethreatning procedures. Then I read WT 1967 about organtransplant. I actually managed to get the original english version in print. They were amazed and could not answer if that article was inspired by Jehovah.
Wow 40-60 JC, any of those you regret?

May I suggest any health education. Best investment I ever made. Of course, Armageddon would come long before I would graduate. So, I was very afraid and had to drink a lot of beers. Best part; Big A never came, I graduated and have been authorised and working for 4 years now. Even managed to replace all the beer with rooibos tea from south Africa. In your face WTS...:)
