Thanks for all the observations. Note that Jackson said it would SEEM to be presumptuous so he really did not answer the question directly. Also, certain beliefs may be proven wrong with time but did not start out as lies, but rather as false beliefs. Most witnesses have allowed that to happen without it changing their view of the organization. But lying on the part of a religious organization is most disturbing.
As has been pointed out, one of the most disturbing things I discovered about the organization is their 'doctrine' on lying. This has remained the same for decades, that lying is by their definition saying something false to someone who is entitled to know the truth...
Rather than allow for circumstances where it is understandable that humans might lie, the word lie is actually redefined so that a total lie is suddenly not even considered a lie at all with their disclaimer attached!
I have pondered why they would define it this exact way for so many decades, and the only explanation I can come up with is that it is a liar's definition of a lie!
