leviticcus 14 -16. well i thought most of it was not appllicable for our day and certainly some parts are not appropriate for children.
chapter 14 is about cleansing from leprosy.
i didn't read the verses, i 've read leviticus before.
We know Jesus put an end to the law for the Jews - but when you look at the detail of ALL of the laws - makes me wonder does YHWH still feel that way - is his thinking still the same!
If there is a new system of things on earth to come where new scrolls will open - wonder will there be "the law of Moses" 2.0 ???

Whether being a "creation" or being "made" (see the greek words) is just a product of YHWH person. He could be that kind of person that's just not that emotional. Read all accounts that deals with his speaking. Even in Moses time before going into the read sea after assuring Moses and the people he says "why do you keep calling out to me"....One would think that he understands the panic mode of humans but maybe not. Maybe he is learning about the development of mans thinking aong the way-who knows!
Think of the only person in the bible he calls "friend". Reading the account its not much emotion there. I believe Jesus in saying we should rfere to him as "father" is from the stand point trying to connect him as only our maker and provider without the hugs.
He is so above anything we can imagine, Grand and Lofty with billions of humans and angels to deal with- can you really see time for any type of emotional relationship!

sunday's lesson is a doosy, it's very good advice for all jws with professional skills and abilities to avoid offering up their time for any period over a week, lest they might get lured in to a sexual relationship with another man, woman or animal or perhaps incest?.
why does the watchtower have problems with jws who have jobs that require long stays and travel?
keeps them off welfare and provides for their familes, they are control freaks!.

-WTBS are millionaires and is building a new home- what nerve they have for crushing a families chance to want a better standard of life!
-where was the husbands support with the kid? He didnt stop her!
-doesnt seem possible the kid would tell his mom- stay away but keep sending gifts!
-if this is a cultural thing- why not give guidelines and or pros and cons?
-where was the counsel in the article about the sisters in the congregation that encouraged her?
-why stereo-type this cultural situation to say its all bad- can't imagine that MOST cases is like this even amoung witnesses?

its been a long time since i have been this enraged at the evilness and shameless exploitation by the jws.
i just got back from the meeting (dont ask) and sat through the km article laying out plans to mass convert nursing homes all over the world.
i am not going to labor the obvious ethical travesty of this plan but i will say that it constitutes a major public health risk.
I know what you mean- during the meeting I'm thinking are they really serious! In the kingdom ministry as an insert with 14 paragraphs!
We can look at it as a truly noble thing to help older people to the "truth" or they see potienal $$ leads.
I guess there is no giving them the benefit of doubt especially since the latest money grab huh!
someone mention on another thread about the newest- youngest governing body member- if he is anointed being baptised around 1975 why wouldnt anyone else baptised around that time be anointed too!.

job was part of the congregation book study discussion this week (talking about jehovahs regenerative power) in that he knew that god will ressurect him if he remained faithful.. how ironic though that jobs kids were not resurrected, gods choose to bless him with 7 "more" boys and 3 "more" girls.. the lesson said god has a yearning to resurrect people that wasn't the case with job's children.. this may not be a big deal but it makes me wonder how true this could be the wt teaching on people coming back in the resurrection with new bodies.
with their old personality like jesus did with the apostles on the beach after his resurrection so they could reconize him..

several were on threads about the donation arrangement and how its going to backfire in some way on the wt.
oh and the lone elder who was pissed in some sort of passive-aggresive manner about it when he presented the resolution.
The WT is going away! the GB cannot give us information past the "new scrolls" opening the start of the 1,000 years and will not even attempt it! if they did it will show them up as making up stuff because there is nothing scriptural they can hook on.
The GB/144000 has told us when their run will end in that life changing article this past year.
They then presented the article that dealt with listening to the Elders since they will take over things eventually from the local level. Then recently the CO (their link to the local congregations) taking more control.
Now preparing for the "there is nothing else to worry about" comfort time with a steady flow of cash to cover anything that comes their way, new fresh facilities, new controls in place they will be good to go til their rapture. Hoping yes hoping that their legacy go into the 1,000 years.
True depending on when God decides to bring a new age we will have the WT in america the land of the free - unless they are made to go away due to a barriage of lawsuits even then they would just get knocked around.
