so i was at a jw gathering today, and i over heard a brother telling a sister about these new changes.
according to him, both one day circuit assemblies will be put together on the same weekend, one on saturday, the next on sunday.
that way the assembly halls could be used to fit in more circuits as they increase in numbers.
I heard something similar about the RBC. That WTS wants it ran by FULL-TIME volunteers at a local level to designated areas. Not sure yet what that will mean for the local brothers who put the building plans together.
Rumor that a WTS drawing program for building plans may happen too.
we attended several different congregations in different states, and the one common thread among them all was...if you had your study article highlighted, you were a good jw.. honestly, how often did you cover over your magazine when the attendant walked by handing out copies to visitors?.
sheesh.
would anyone believe how weird this organization really is?.

i know this topic has been discussed before on this forum, but as it goes in jw world we need reminders.. co said in his last talk i can't remember the title in speaking about jesus, that when jesus returned to heaven he resumed his name michael.
jesus was his earthly name.. through the entire rest of the bible after his ressurection not one reference is made about this.
case in point----when jesus oh wait michael pulled saul over and talked to him, he introduced his self as jesus.

co this week said in his intro talk that the gb would love to be here, but they can't because they are busy running/overseeing over 110,000 congregations, so he is there to represent them.. gee i was wondering why we had to settle for less..

this will demostrate his willingness not to miss that important meeting and preside over his household.. so i thought, wow what a way to add to the "inspired" biblical list of qualifications.

WT was trying to say that since Jehovah is the God of Eternity has he been in control of everything that is of mans existence. Really what does the facts show based on this study article?
in harmony with acts 6:1-7, what is the gb giving back to the r&f?
the post about the cos being retired and recent wt articles about caring for older ones made me think.
the gb is doing everything to cut costs while at the same time asking for more sacrifices.
The same goes for the donations- GB expect money on both District/ Circuit and local thru the pages of the annual "give money" WT studies.
They need to encourage usage of some of the funds for the local friends who can use a little help of their own to increase and support the local ministry.
What about the local Pioneers or the friends with the vans that has to drive all the time in the territory putting wear and tear on their vechicles every week- you don't see the GB kicking in something to help out. Instead of circuits and local congregtions giving the "surplus" to the GB give it to the local friends to help out with gas, lunch for the pioneer meetings, pioneers that don't work car repairs or even some support for those caring for elderly.
Give orders to help the local congregations ministry of service- dammit!
during a discussion over the weekend, we exchanged ideas about recent changes in terminology related to assembly days, conventions and new titles for the higher-ups.
i commented that for years in 'security' at larger meetings we were told to talk to any that seemed out of place and ask questions that would indicate if they were apostates - antiquated terms like 'overseer' or a reference the 'truth' book.. another in our group brought up the character in the orwell book 1984 and how his job was to separate new and approved terms from old words.
this was called doublethink and blackwhite.
