If this is true....Please let it be true. It will be the final straw for so many people.

33 %
by Theredeemer inso, my mother in law who is still active went out in service with the group that had the co visit and came back with some very interesting news.
first off, she knows that we are fading and is ok with it and has some doubts herself.
anyhow, she said that the co went off track during the meeting before service and mentioned how we are now allowed to receive up to 33% of blood in a transfusion.

QR codes: a way to stop APOSTATES !!!
by raymond frantz ininteresting meeting today.the do had the last talk and he mentioned a couple of things i have not heard before :.
1) the new lighter magazines are designed in a way to attract people to our website .
2)the ministry will change to incoprorate preacing in town centres and and with stands as in manhattan and certain brothers will be allocated to do this .so it is done now in a big scale ,organised.. 3)the qr codes at the back of the magazines are there for smart phone users to guide them directly to jw.org ,unlike bad old internet via laptops and pc's that you have to look for the website on google and sometimes end up in enemy websites that look like our website but are spreading lies about jw's (he said exactly that!

DATA-DOG: rolly cart duty...
hahaha! it so absurd it just might work! They are trying new things to try to be significant, to be noticed...in a world that just isn't impressed, annoyed or ready to persecute the different and wacky. It's like the campaigns before memorial and the district convention. Nobody cares anymore, not in an apathetic way, but in a 'oh, are those people still around' way. They want to matter in a world they don't understand AT ALL! 20 years from now you won't recognize "the organization". They are floundering.
The comment made by the DO is perfect..."enemy websites" that's hilarious. Honestly, 'what's the believer without the disbeliever' or something like that.

Former Bethelites, please settle this argument
by Resistance is Futile ini was recently talking to a friend that's a former jw, and she argued that there are just as many women that live at bethel as there are men.
admittedly, we're both slightly ignorant on the subject, since neither of us have actually lived at or even visited bethel.
i've made the assumption that there are significantly more men than women at bethel, am i correct?.

There are quite a few women at bethel. married sisters, commuters and single sisters, too. They work all over the place, from construction to the factory and everywhere in between.

HIGHER EDUCATION "FRACTIONS"
by The Searcher inin the congregation bible study yesterday, the big stick regarding higher education was wielded again.. the question was -.
(a) how might a christian unwisely reason, despite counsel from the faithful slave class today?.
here is the answer:.

Whats the freshman class where you write the research paper on something you feel strongly about? You state your case, make your argument, and try to be convincing? Then, the plot twist....The next paper you write has to be from the opposing perspective, and part of your grade is being as convincing from this stand point as you were regarding the one you supported.
This one exercise alone would make a person think about their convictions and what the "know" to be true. When you are forced to examine something from another perspective it changes the way you see it, it has to.
The WTB&TS say the warning against "higher education" is about immorality and evolution and bad ass.ociation...I truly believe its really about THINKING. When you take something you KNOW TO BE TRUE and then open your mind to the opposing viewpoint at least it makes you wonder...at most you change your mind. Likely, the pendulum comes to rest in the middle once the extremes are explored. This has to scare the pants off the GB.
Oh, and when people learn there is a more in depth way to 'study' than underlining or highlighting and looking up the same scriptures you've read over and over...that's pretty enlightening all on its own!
So now "college and university" education is being vilified.

Christ Alone: If asked, "Didn't you dedicate yourself to following the faithful and discreet slave?!?", you could respond, "Yes, but the light got brigher."
Bloody Brilliant! That, right there, is the essense of the issue.

So, If the the GB/ FDS can change their minds, why can't we? Time and circumstances have changed for the Leadership of the JW organization and as a result so have the doctrines. The very thing they base their lives on has changed repeatedly.
The double standard:
Active JW's are not allowed to change thier minds, for any reason, let alone time or circumstances. A choice based on a promise or pressure or naivety is considered binding for life or longer. Even if this choice was made at 10 or 14 or 98 years of age. To use Family Book logic:
"It is good for youths to appreciate that age is an important factor in acquiring wisdom. Are you 10 years old now? You can see that you know more than when you were five, can’t you? Are you 15? You know more than when you were 10, don’t you? Are you approaching 20? You must appreciate that you know still more than when you were 15. It is easy to look back and see that age makes you wiser, but it is difficult to look ahead and accept this truth. No matter how wise a young person may feel, he or she should realize that the future can and should bring greater wisdom." - Making Your Family Life Happy, Chapter 12, page 163 paragraph 6
You are not the same person you were 5 years ago, so why not wait until the personal changes even out and you actually become the man or woman you want to be? This is sound advice for anyone considering marriage, partnership or ANY choice that will affect THE REST OF THEIR LIFE. The logic that is applied to something as fundamental as the relationship you will have with a human is somehow omitted completely when it comes to the relationship you will have with God. Realizing that "the future can and should bring greater wisdom" is not something the active JW is ALLOWED to do. Are you expected to think and feel the same way about everything for the rest of your life...? Who does that? Ever?
Get this though... you are expected to change your mind immediately if the GB does.
Stupid.
Only think WHEN we tell you to and then only think WHAT we tell you to...
