The rape issue/ flip-flops is one of the stupidest things I've ever read.
Imagine being an elder, insisting on a judicial committee to determine whether a woman who'd been raped screamed or not...If that woman were my wife, mother or sister I'd beat the $#!T out of that elder. Give me a break. Like forming a committee to deal with someone who'd attempted suicide. There are certain things professionals who understand Post Traumatic Stress Disorder need to handle. Let the Janitors deal with the doctrinal issues.

Daily Text for February 28, 2013 !!! ENJOY !!!!!!!!
by DATA-DOG inthursday, february 28. jehovah will make known who belongs to him.-num.
16:5. korah lost sight of the fact that jehovah was directing the nation of israel and consequently failed to show loyalty to those whom god was using.
how much wiser it would have been for korah to wait on jehovah for a clearer understanding or for adjustments if those were really needed.

HAHAHAHA! The Korah scripture as the Year Text. That would be priceless.
Thanks for posting the Daily Text. Daily dose of Kool-Aid.
It's things like that that remind me of how the indoctrination works. Again, "these are the consequences of thinking for your self. We'll do the thinking for you. Thinking for yourself is deadly, Just ask God."
We are all Real life apostates who joined the modern day Korah class...Modern day conterparts of Dathan and Abriram...Heck, we all better be careful we're not struck with leporsy. You know, of course, that's how Miram was taught how ugly and obvious rebellion is, struck with leprosy!
" Our humility and submission will endear us to him." Give me a break. Your Humility and Submission will make you much easier to deal with, bottom line. Now stop Thinking. Stop it!

RELIGULOUS...Please watch it.
by Fed-up ini know it's been commented on before here.
if you haven't seen it (i'm sure it's on netflix) please take a look.
it's the other side of the coin, presented in a funny way that really makes you think about religion and worship.

I can't remember if he said it this plainly, but one of the thoughts I got from the whole thing was "The only thing that is going to save the Human Race is...The Human Race"

in the last 4 months my eyes have been opened to ttatt, my biggest issue is that the elders have been grooming me to appoint me as an elder.

What is your strangest "supernatural" JW story?
by donny ini had just became a witness and a guy i worked with, who was also a jw, told me a story that actually made me laugh and i think it upset him a bit.
the storys were almost always in the third person.
it went as follows.. this brothers wife and him were sitting at the kingdom hall on the end seats of the row next to the back of the room.

THE BEST SUPERNATURAL STORY:
That the FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE miraculously became the GB and that they are not inspired but ARE spirit Directed.
Now thats supernatural!

The bottom line to me was it made me think. We are told things and believe them, just because we're told them. I know jw's are one pendulum swing extreme and a documentary like this is the other.
