  Bible Student Creationism at its best - how can anyone believe this?

  i received the latest copy of the lhmm magazine (the laymen's home missionary movement, which is one of the bible student groups which shares a common russellite origin with the jws).

  i was simply amazed by their supposedly scientific article about the deluge.

  at the end of the article it says you can request a full treatise on the subject.

  By What Authority?

  the jws, catholics, mormons, and a handful of others say they are the "true church" or what jesus originally intended.

  i know jws call themselves the "true christians".

  by what authority - outside of the bible, since 41,000 denominations use the bible to back up their individual beliefs - can jws make this claim?

  Could UFO Disclosure Bring About A Golden Age?

  there are a great many people - and internet sites- that preach a sort of 2012/ufo gospel.

  while they may contradict one another, they mostly teach that ufo's will intervene and save us, especially if governments admit that they exist.. yeah, ok..... been there, heard that..... but could there be a core of truth to this idea?.

  what would happen if the world acknowledged that et's exist?.

  i find it interesting that they hired a third part (kpmg) to do a forensic examination of their files.

  the scouts had to pay out 18.5 million back in 2010.. .

  "the files gathered from 1965 to 1985 came to light when they were used as evidence in a landmark oregon ruling in 2010 that the scouts had failed to protect a plaintiff who had been molested by an assistant scoutmaster in the early 1980s.

  the symbol of the hexagram, the star-like figure formed by two triangles, has many connotations, especially when it is enclosed by a circle; super-natural powers have been attributed to it in many parts of the world since ancient times.. .

  in europe, the pentagram is usually known as king solomon's seal, while the hexagram is known as the star of david; and it is often assumed that this was always the case..... .

  however, the evidence points to the gradual evolution of the hexagram from a roman cosmological symbol to a religious and magical symbol which was not specifically connected to one religion or people.

  well folks, got back from my trip to see russell's grave site.

  it was quite a interesting experience and sobering to see the pyramid right by his tombstone.

  i'm kind of tired and will be hitting the sack soon but i wanted to post a few pictures.

  The Watchtower and the Masons

  the latest edition of the free in christ ministries journal contains a very interesting article entitled the watchtower and masons.. drawing upon material from the book the watchtower & the masons by fritz springmeier, it gives the following parallels between the things that c t russell believed and those taught by the masons:.

  * both believe jehovah is the most important word being the basis of their dogma, and the name of their god.

  * both believe god yielded power to a lesser god.
