i will be the first to admit a rabid fascination with a certain picture....... back when i was about 7, i stumbled across the most fascinating picture in all of dubdom....... are you holding your breath?!?!?.
it was in the evolution or creation book....the picture of the black, african tribal woman with that huge freakin plate in her lip!.
I like the one in the My Book of Bible Stories (the kid's book) about the great flood. In the picture are animals, men, and even women holding their babies clinging to a rock in the middle of a raging flood, awaiting certain death.
Gotta love it.

Thank you JT. It is sooooo helpful when you find things like this on unbiased, well-known, websites. As I am sure you know, most JWs won't take it seriously (or even listen to it) if you find it on an apostate/anti/ex-JW website. it was kind of fun yesterday when i was in line at the local coffee house.
a "sister" came up and stood in line right next to me.
now, my ex is df'd and i am probably "bad association", but technically they should not shun me because i never got dunked.
Just curious...but when you are a new study and the witnesses are unsure of whether or not you are "serious material", will they be friendly to you in public places or will they try to speak to you as little as possible without being completely rude?
Is there some sort of trial period before you are considered "good association"?
I ask this because I remember back when we first began studying with the JWs, my husband and I ran into Sister JW at Walmart. She was nice but she acted (IMO) as if didn't really want to talk to us.

keep in mind that the blood cards are produced and circulated in all other countries worldwide.
if they are not so in the us, please do not scream too loudly that major changes are occuring etc., because this has got to be some local us thing, if it is true what you say that they are not renewed in the us.
The letter explains that there was an error in the language used in these cards, so they had to discard them. Just for this year, we would not renew them...
I am not a part of the the WTS or anything, so forgive me if this question sounds stupid...but if this really is the case, couldn't they just correct the error and print new cards right away. Why do they have to wait a whole year before they try to get it right??

angry towards jehovah.. i understand the angry towards the jehovah's witnesses.
i carry hard feelings towards them and their teachings but, i have been seeing many negative attitudes against jehoavh himself.

I agree with what Ajaxman has said. I think once a lot of folks lose faith in the org, then they progressively lose faith in Jehovah. Once they hold "the truth" under a microscope and find that it has failed them then they naturally question "all truths" that have stemmed from the same source...the bible and it's author, Jehovah (God, Yahweh...or whatever you want to call him). Any bitterness that they may have towards the group of people who hurt them extends to the God that that group of people represent. Although, I am not and have not ever been a JW, I have been involved in a situation where I was treated badly by a group of "christians" and because of it became angry with God...and to some degree, blamed God for my problems. Anyway, I'm also an outsider ....but in some ways, I can relate with their anger.

this has been something that has been in the back of my mind for quite a while.
are those claiming to be of the anointed amongst jehovah's witnesses really going to heaven?
many jw' view them as being on a higher spiritual plain than the average jw and that they view the bible as a personal letter to them.
