Just As In the Days of Noah
by Farkel insince the bible makes it clear that jesus believed in the scriptural account of the flood and since the evidence that a worldwide flood as described in that same scriptural account would have been virtually impossible, why should anyone trust jesus to be man's redeemer and the only begotten son of god?.

Remember A.I. ?
by Introspection ini know we talked about it when it was playing in the theaters, but i'm too lazy to look up that thread and i think it was in the main forum anyway.
i just got the dvd and watched half of it.
if you haven't seen it it's definitely worth renting.

Hey Lilacs,
I remember D.A.R.Y.L.Actually, I rented it a couple of weeks ago for my kids to watch. Here lately, I've been trying to rent a lot of the movies I grew up with, like ET, Goonies, Never Ending Story, Willow, etc...,for my kids to see. I liked DARYL. It is a light movie with a good ending. A.I. on the other hand is veeerrrryyy depressing all the way through to the end. Just when you think things couldn't get any worse for the poor kid, it does. In all fairness, it is a good movie (well thought out, good plot, yada..yada), it's just very sad. And personally, I get enough of sadness from reality, you know?
...Oh, and sorry that I gave away the ending of A.I. I didn't even think about those who hadn't seen it.

I hated this movie. Perhaps I'm a bit too...emotional. But a woman leaving a child alone in the woods (yes, I know he was supposed to be a mecca) and the whole movie revolving around this poor little child's desire just to be normal, just to be loved...*sobs*. I can't even think about this movie without getting all upset. I cried all throughout this movie. I just can't cope with the idea of a child suffering...even if it was a "robot" child. I can't stand to see children hurting...in real life or in "the movies".

I believe it had 4 different endings, but it never ended.
It had 4 different endings? Really?
The one I watched ended with David finally hearing his mother say the words that he had longed to hear his whole life..."I love you, David". Once she says it, she then falls asleep (never to awaken) and David lays down beside her and for the first time ever, he falls asleep too. And poor teddy climbs up in the bed and sits there, looking at the two of them asleep. I believe the narrator says that David never wakes up again either. Talk about your happy ending. Poor little teddy bear... -

Bryant Memorial Service Report
by seven006 init is hard for me to transcibe certain feelings into written words especially since i'm not what you would consider to be a real emotional person.
i have also mastered the art of rarely showing any outward emotional expression.
i will try and do my best to give you some of the feelings i experienced today through my eyes, so please bare with me.. i drove the hour to mcminnville which is a small town about forty miles south of portland.

In fact, as awful as this day was in the life of this community and her family, she feels it offers the potential for a teachable moment.
Let us hope that something has been learned by this tragedy. Maybe some eyes will be opened.
Thanks for sharing, Dave.

Hey Flower,
Here are some "Yo Mama" jokes Hope these help...they always make me laugh...-Yo mama is so dirty she has to creep up on the bathwater.
-Yo mama like a Big Mac -- full of fat and only worth a buck!
-Yo mama's lips so big, she can whisper in her own ear.
-Yo mama is so ugly that when she worked at the bakery they dipped her face in the batter to make animal cookies.
-Yo mama's breath is so nasty, when she burps her teeth have to duck
-Yo mama's breath stinks so bad, people look forward to her farts!
-Yo mama's glasses are so thick that when she looks on a map, she sees people waving.
-Yo mama's lips so big, she doesn't use chapstick -- she uses Mop 'n' Glo!Hope these weren't too crude
Get to feeling better soon, ok...sadie

Online Bibles
by JosephAlward ini believe there are many on this forum who are not aware of the many online bibles from which they could almost effortless copy verses to paste into their arguments.
when one refers to a particular verse in a particular book, few readers have the patience to go seach through the whole book.. the online source i use is called "bible gateway.
" it provides several different versions of the bible, and offers word search, which is an indispensible tool for those who take their bible research seriously.. bible gateway is at http://bible.gospelcom.net/.

I remember when I was about 2-3 and fell off a countertop (what idiot sits a 2-3 yr old on a countertop and leaves them) and sometime between 3-4, I bumped into a gas heater and burned my arm. Also, I remember when I was around 4 and my grandmother accidentally hit one of my toes with a hoe. Gee, looking back, I'm amazed that I made it to 5.
