and to answer the question EP, i work in a field where i have a solid idea of what is really happening in the world. business are closing, govt. is squeezing ppl. dry, ppl. are angry, service is getting worse, and petty crime is on the rise.
things will definately get worse before they improve. clean your guns and have a drink.

How do you know this? Perhaps it was higher during the Cuban missle crisis, or in the lead up to the civil war, or during the Gunpowder Treason?
maybe it was, EP. or even the french revolution. you dont need to take a poll to understand that this current generation is getting restless. the lies told by politicians are being recognised by the prolls to be complete B.S.
see, people with a group mentality are stupid... example, black friday. but people on a one on one basis can be quasi intelligent, enough to know when they are getting effed in the A.
my 34 year old daughter may be moving in with me for awile when i move to arizona.
we get along great but we haven't lived together in 14 years.
in these tough money times we feel two could live cheaper than one......i'm looking forward to the move.. three years ago i had my 28 year old son move back in with me for six months.
c6H, beat me to it. in the asian community it is common for the family to even pool their money to buy a large multi family dwelling. correct me if i am wrong but i think it has something to do with taking care of elderly family members. wow, what an antiquated and barbaric culture. we really could learn a lot from other non capitalist traditions. there is NO shame in having an adult child live at home... she might remember it when you need a care giver.

and distrust of politicians is at an all time high. there is pressure building. unfortunatly it will not explode unless they take away internet. as long as we are pacified a real movement will not gain traction.

i dont know anything about ages or astronomy but i had a conversation with a relative about this. she brought up armageddon with the "world events" opening. i laid down the "noahs rainbow promise" reply and said that i thought we would eventually just destroy ourselves, no god needed. i told her that she was part of destroying the earth because she wastes fossil fuels which cause war, driving around in service. and that if anything, the mormons suffer more for their faith. and we both agree lds is a cult. OMFG she was still as thick as a bar of lead. but she respects me, i think she really thought about it.
ill have a drink to that. waay better than the crap i hear on the radio.

i am thankful for my partner of almost 11 years, and am thankful for the friends that i have made on the board, which include, but are not limited to:.
snowbird, broken promises, glander, mr and mrs. rabbit, big tex, nina, elsewhere, lady lee and all others i have had a chance to know.. i am thankful for our humble home, and am thankful that i have been able to fill it with furnishings and trinkets of yesteryear, things made from people that have been passed from generation to generation over the course of 200 plus years.. i'm thankful that we have enough food to eat, and that we are able to feed the countless raccoons, possums, birds, squirrels, slugs, snails, reptiles and every other living creature that passes our doorsteps and yard.. i am thankful that i had my little girl for 14-1/2 years before she died.
even though i still grieve for her on a daily basis, i am glad that i was able to share with her and give her the same love that she showed me while she was alive.. i am thankful that we are able to have enough to sponsor 3 children in africa and south america every month, so that they too can eat and have much needed medical care.. i am thankful that the latest overseas fight didn't end in a world war.. what things are you thankful for??
