@ gio. that is a great question. lots of people will hate it but the reasoning is sound. a womans right to not subject herself to the torture that must be childbirth.

cofty, respek for the effort you have put into getting a concise answer. it really illustrates how many christians dont understand their own reasoning. islam is a great example of what happens when god gets mixed into secular policy.
unstop. do you want to go back to coathanger abortions? because if you make it illegal, it is sure to happen.

@ bohm, but it is the poor christans who are being persecuted. wow, we are stupid and inconsiderate.

unstop, why do you feel it is your place to force your opinion on others. no one is trying to convince you to have an abortion. never have i seen "pro- choicers" picketing a maternaty ward.

there seems to be a lot of what ifs, so im just gonna chime in here. abortion was the best decision i have been part of. i admit for selfish reasons but also it saved a baby from coming into an immature, unloving, unprepared, and unwanted situation. would it have been better to go ahead and bring another unwanted kid into the word? a child who might turn to crime because i was too young to be a real father? do we need more of those?
edit. i always hear about the sacredness of life. how sacred was the colombine shooter or the menendez bros.?

Thanksgiving?
by freeflyingfaerie inhere in the u.s. of a., come one week from today, families will come together to feast in celebration of the day in 1621 when pilgrims and native americans shared feasting for three days... ...and then the natives were slaughtered and driven out of the lands in the coming years.
i wondered if native americans themselves celebrate thanksgiving... (interesting findings out there).
cast your votes as to whether or not i'm a freakazoid for not celebrating it!

What did your personal big AHA moments look like when you saw through a LIE or suddenly understood a TRUTH?
by Fernando in"what is an aha moment?

i have never told this to anyone. my lightbulb moment happened in 1999. i was champing to work my way up. i had a friend/study who identified with southern bathist(his words). after 2 meetings, he started parroting some of the terminology that he had heard from my recruiting and the meetings. i realazed how stupid it all sounded from the listener POV. i was gone 1 month later at the same time my study was moving. i hope he got out. i take full responsabillity. i hope he is doing well. he is a good ol boy.
