Beautiful pictures thank you FTS. These sculptures amaze me every year. Harbin is a bitterly cold place to live though, brrrr! -

It's funny because I was the obedient sort who always wore my badge. Yet I work in a public library now and when a manager tried to get staff to wear badges saying 'Here to Help' a couple of years ago I spoke up and said you may find you're infringing people's human rights trying to force them to wear something on their person that is not necessary for health and safety. She backed down. Don't mess with me now, I'm not a thick twit anymore. -

Are You Raising An Introvert?
by darth frosty inits not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.
it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.
this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

You're the Healer. Healers are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, Healers have an inner flame that can be harnessed for magic. The Healer introvert type is a shaman to his or her tribe. You carry within you the ability to understand problems and connect to the root cause on a deep level. You're naturally spiritual and find it easy to access the spirit world. You have incredible potential to do good. The world needs you!

Hi BarelyThere, good to know you've seen through that crazy religion. Don't worry about uncertainty, life is uncertain but you will be fine. Just believe in yourself. You are intelligent, well educated and you have a good job. Well done. Just chill and take a day at a time. 🌷🌷🌷 -

No more reporting time for field service!!!
by Khaleesi inso at last i am in my next step of my fade, this month is the first month i did not turned in any hours.
i received a text from our group leader an ms & i told him i didn't have any to report, then of course it got bumped up to the elder & i text him back i have no hours to report for december.
i came to this decision when reading many posters here about the yearbook stats, i do not want & refused to contribute to this organization "boosting" numbers for their glorious purposes, after the rc in australia they do not deserve for me to give them a "production" report of what i do for god, no more.

Good for you. Whatever happened to let your giving be in secret, let not the left hand know what the right hand is doing? Or something. It's been a long time since I read the Bible lol. -

Who is your favourite thinker?
by The Rebel inhaving recently read orwells 1984, i was impressed with how he understood that both politicians and people abuse language.
this further confirmed to me how the w.t had deceived me by using words to distort reality.
the book 1984, also contains many other great thoughts of george orwell.. of course there have been many other great thinkers, buddah, darwin, freud, einstein and marx come to mind.

Muddy waters I was thinking of Isaac Asimov too. He had some great ideas, loved the Foundation, well I was going to say trilogy but I think it ended up being five books. Plus his Bicentennial man, all about what it means to be human. -

BeautifulMind, good email. I wrote the same thing to a friend who sent me the Return to Jehovah booklet. That I spent years trying to persuade people to examine the religion they were raised in and then it was my turn to do that. I asked her had she ever examined her religion, ever. Were they even allowed to do that now? That my reason for leaving wasn't being stumbled or feeling guilty but having studied and thought deeply, finding I no longer believed. But that reason isn't an option is it? I haven't had a reply either. -

Alan Rickman's Passing
by TipsyMangoTea inalan rickman, best known to my generation as prof. severus snape from the harry potter film franchise, has passed away due to cancer at the age of 69.. growing up with a witness mother, anything related to science fiction and fantasy was looked down upon, so, naturally, i was a rebel rebel (oh david bowie...).. just wanted to let any potterheads know the news and that even if you feel like you'll never be free of the deadly watchtower, you're not alone and there's hope.. always..

Such a lot of sadness at work today over Alan Rickman. Watching Love Actually at Christmas is a tradition with me and my daughter. So sad, he and his wife have been together about forty years, not the usual showbiss relationship. He will be missed.
