Yes of course that's what it means. Just watch the sport and pour yourself another beer.

Definitions of spiritual intelligence rely on the concept of spirituality as being distinct from religiosity.[8]
Danah Zohar defined 12 principles underlying spiritual intelligence:[9]
- Self-awareness: Knowing what I believe in and value, and what deeply motivates me.
- Spontaneity: Living in and being responsive to the moment.
- Being vision- and value-led: Acting from principles and deep beliefs, and living accordingly.
- Holism: Seeing larger patterns, relationships, and connections; having a sense of belonging.
- Compassion: Having the quality of "feeling-with" and deep empathy.
- Celebration of diversity: Valuing other people for their differences, not despite them.
- Field independence: Standing against the crowd and having one's own convictions.
- Humility: Having the sense of being a player in a larger drama, of one's true place in the world.
- Tendency to ask fundamental "Why?" questions: Needing to understand things and get to the bottom of them.
- Ability to reframe: Standing back from a situation or problem and seeing the bigger picture or wider context.
- Positive use of adversity: Learning and growing from mistakes, setbacks, and suffering.
- Sense of vocation: Feeling called upon to serve, to give something back.

- Yes looking at some of the definitions on the Wiki page I would suggest some synonyms for spiritual would be deep thinking, rather than shallow. Also ethical as fukitol said. Having integrity rather than moral cowardice.
- Also an advocate of personal growth. Someone who cares about others and the future of the planet. A big picture person. Having a sense of this is our home to take care of for our very survival rather than I must own stuff or I'm nobody. A feeling that we're all in this together and we need each other.
I can actually see the need for a phrase to describe all this and personally using spiritual intelligence doesn't offend me anymore than the word Jehovah does. They're just words. Being word phobic is a psychological problem. Get over it.

I've never heard of it Fernando. Can you tell me more about it? Similar to emotional intelligence?

Need Suggestions/examples: Guide to helping family & friends break free
by LisaRose ini was going through my copy of steve hassan's combating cult mind control and it occurred to me that it would be great to have something like this specifically for us ex jehovah's witnesses.
while this is a great book, the examples he uses are mostly from people that were moonies, as steve is a former moonie and many people that have contacted him for help were relatives of moonies.
while cults all work basically the same, it would be nice to be have some ideas on things that are specific to jehovah's witnesses.

I'm just not sure about this authentic personaity idea Lisa. I know the theory but after I've been out 27 years I see no sign of authentic personalities in my siblings. It's true I only see them at funerals but I'm not sure the authentic personality is suppressed by the cult personality. I think each small decision, shun this person, hate that gay person, lie about who will die at Armageddon, changes our personality gradually until we actually become a different person.
Otherwise how do people do evil things? Violent crime? Wartime atrocities? We have to fight to stop ourselves becoming callous, getting compassion fatigue, becoming cynical, being paranoid and xenophobic. So if you don't fight negative stuff don't you actually change your personality over time? Doesn't that happen to JWs?

Musicians Who Died in the Last Year - or Through the Years- Who Do you Miss Most ?
by flipper ini think for me in the last year the death of david bowie got to me the most.
not only in the way he handled his demise so classy by even making a song about it and a you tube about dying and sharing it with fans, but just his whole persona i always thought was pretty cool.
plus i enjoyed a good many of his songs.

James Horner. So many wonderful film scores. I love film music, I think it's among the best classical music.
