My dad RIP

i will miss him so much.
he was the funniest most greatest man i have ever known.. granted for the first 30 years i wasnt that much keen on him and i don't think he was on me much either.....let me explain.. mum and dad met in 1964, mum was the prettiest girl in the town, mini skirts, raised hair, the daintiest figure, she looked the spit of audrey hepburn at breakfast at tiffanys.

Terrific movie monologue from "Three Billboards Outside Ebbings, Missouri'
by Captain Schmideo2 injust watched this movie last night.. the premise of the title and film centers around the mother of young girl, who was raped, murdered, and set on fire by an unknown killer.
convinced that the local police could be doing more, she erects billboards outside of town, calling into question the efforts of the town's beloved chief of police.
this does not sit well with the other townspeople, and soon, the town priest comes to visit and admonish her.and after hearing him tell her if she came to church more regularly, she would be able to find the peace and resolution she needs over her daughter's death, she delivers this speech to him:.

I'm going to order a hardback copy and donate it to my local library.
Brilliant idea Diogenesister. I'll do that too for the library I work in. Don't put it in reference, no one will find it. If you donate it they will put it in the 200s, the religious section and it will help a lot of those seeking answers who will pick it up and borrow it. We have a copy of Goodbye to Jehovah's Paradise in that section written by an exJW and it's never been pinched.

i was speaking to a sister this week via email and i said i was appalled by anthony morris's recent talk in trinidad and tobago when he said if you haven't been in the ministry for two weeks god looks down on your hands and what does he see?
he sees blood and you will lose your life.

I'm sure our brains protect us from trains of thought that terrify us. The thought that the GB is wrong leads to the teachings are wrong which leads on to there may be no new system coming. That's leads to I've wasted my life and I'm going to die. So they don't start down that road, they just brush it off.

Thats good news, no one should have to live in poverty. However I have to say it's about time. The Chinese invented paper in the fifth century and gunpowder in the ninth century. I believe they also invented printing about five hundred years before Europe. Their insistence on isolating themselves from the rest of the world for centuries has been blamed for their previous lack of economic growth after being way ahead with scientific inventions.

we were just walking around enjoying the pleasant afternoon in the quaint, old downtown area when i saw two jw women standing by their “witnessing cart.” .
normally, i just ignore them whenever i see jws standing by a cart, but i gotta admit it: this time it really bugged me because of the title on the cart: find family happiness.

When in 1989 the Berlin Wall was coming down and the words peace and security were plastered all over every newspaper but none of the JWs gave a damn we knew they only believed what the GB told them, they weren't interested in reality.
