Thank you Umbertoecho, I have seen this article before on here but it bears looking at again.
Problems with self-worth and fear of terrible punishment continue. Virtually all controlling religions teach fear about the evil in ‘the world’ and the danger of being alone without the group. Ordinary setbacks can cause panic attacks, especially when one feels like a small child in a very foreign world. Coming out of a sheltered, repressed environment can result in a lack of coping skills and personal maturity.
A lack of coping skills is true and especially as we were taught the world is full of evil people who want to harm us. I have met so many different types of people from very conservative types who enjoy working at management level in big organisations to people who love to make jewellery or paint fantasy landscapes. One artist friend likes to paint penis pictures. Freud would have a field day!
There are so many interesting people it is criminal to make us afraid of them. I look forward to meeting even more interesting people.
