JWs, UFO's, demons, and the book "The Dark Gods"
by MikeHammer ini have been looking into this issue that (many/most/all/etc) ufos are caused by demons as seems to be said by jws.
some time ago when i browsed this site i read a posting where someone recommended a book titled "the dark gods" by roberts and gilbertson (here is a link to the book at amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/dark-gods-anthony-roberts/dp/009138771x).. besides that one there are a couple of other books that i have checked (one of these is "operation trojan horse" by john keel and the other one is "a guide to the paranormal" by magnus raven).
both of these say the same thing although they approach this issue from different directions.. looking at the amazon reviews for "the dark gods" it looks like it also says the same thing but the book is out of print.

The new brchoure
by Sabin inthe gestapo body, brought out a brochure, i believe it was called return to jehovah.
in it they gave 3 reasons why some-one left the borganization.
if i remember 1 was because the person is angry at some one in the cong, or something along those lines.

Muddy Waters I like your post, that brochure made me very angry too. Especially as I told the JW about the child abuse in Australia and suggested she watch the ARC proceedings on line. Her reply was sending me that brochure. I said where is the category in that list of reasons for leaving for people who have done their research and realised it's just not the true religion. Do I feel guilty!! Wow I was incandescent at that. I shall have to tone this letter down a bit before I send it! -

Why My Wife and I Have No Kids
by JT in*** g74 11/8 ***9 is this the time to have children?there has always been a positive attitude about childbearing.
*** g74 11/8 10 is this the time to have children?

Yes I have a sister and brother who can't have children. I know for one it's a medical problem and I think it probably is for both of them. Not only did this horrible cult strongly discourage having children when we were all young but it also forbade IVF because they said you can't discard any unused embryos, that would be murder. I believe they've changed this now to a conscience matter. Too late for my poor sister and sister-in-law!
So they were stopped from doing anything about their childlessness and told to wait for the new system. My heart breaks for them. How evil to do this to people. All our human needs they mercilessly ripped away. Are they all psychopaths in Brooklyn, incapable of empathy?

For the Supporters of Those Who Love Jehovah
by lovesjehovah ini am jehovah's witness, despite some of the questionable teachings, crimes, and other outlandish behaviors of specific people affiliated with the religion.
i know that my relationship with jehovah is not influenced by any outside factors.
i do not condone any crime.

l used to love Jehovah but don't you think he's gone very quiet in recent years? He doesn't seem to talk to anyone, no calling out a person's name like he did with Samuel or appearing in a burning bush.
I'm not being sarcastic LovesJehovah I just don't know how to love someone I can't see, who doesn't speak and doesn't do anything. I always struggled with talking to someone who didn't answer me, even when I did love Jehovah.
Now I can't believe in someone who does nothing when people are suffering terribly. I have to do something when I see people suffering, even if I can only give a tiny bit of help. He is supposed to have much more power than us but he does nothing. Doesn't that ever bother you?

"Most women would prefer to be stay at home housewives. Women's lib did alot of damage to women!"
by purrpurr inthe above is a quote from a jw female relative.
this was in response to a discussion about the suffragette movement ( and the movie about it that's currently in cinemas).
she seemed to think that it would be so much better if women were just daughters/ wives/ mothers and didn't go out to work and have career's?

As usual I want to yell, read history books please. Women have always worked whether they had six or sixteen children. With their babies strapped to their backs they have worked in the fields. They have taken in washing, cleaned other people's houses, looked after or taught other people's children, cooked for other families and then gone home and done the same for their own family.
Now they are doctors, lawyers, politicians, chief executives of industry. The fact they can earn enough for child care - and they don't have to have a dozen babies is a huge, huge step forward. They don't wreck their health trying to be more than a cleaner or washer of other people's knickers or toilets and doing all the child care. Thank god, or rather thank the suffragettes and the male politicians who supported them.
The Women's Liberation movement didn't come up with the idea of women working outside the home. Women have been working outside the home, growing crops or earning money for thousands of years to feed their children

Rich that's terrible. You sound like you are in shock. Is there anyone you can talk to? Someone who will just let you get it all out, how you are feeling? What a terribly sad time for you and your family. 🌹 -

When they said it was Jehovah blessing them when they won nearly every court decision (1950s) they faced. They said they would never beg for money, because Jehovah's Blessing assured there would always be an abundance of financial support. Now they are constantly begging
Brilliant Doc thanks. I'd forgotten they said that about the court cases they'd won. When everything is going right it is God blessing them. When it all starts to go wrong it is Satan persecuting them.
I'm only keeping in contact with them (implying Im interested but never actually saying so) to try and get to my nephew and nieces, who are on social media and look like they may need someone to talk to someday when they figure it out for themselves.
Thursday I hope you manage to get through to them. It's the kids growing up in this cult I feel so sorry for. But now the cultish information control is being threatened by the Internet. What a wonderful tool of Satan the web is, LOL.

My fade might well start today.
by StarTrekAngel inmany here whom have read my previous posts know more or less my situation.
wife is not hardcore but we still bump heads from time to time.
if it wasn't for this cult, and while it was not an issue, we had an almost perfect marriage.

we had an almost perfect marriage. Almost 17 years of honeymoon.
That's quite some track record of married bliss StarTrekAngel. Don't give up yet. Hopefully your love for each other and your girls will get you through this. Perhaps she does mean it that she will let you fade, perhaps she's a pragmatist.

You can always write that you went through the booklet but after you saw the testimony of the elders, overseers and the governing body member Geoffrey Jackson, you would never be able to have a clear conscience if you returned - Saintbertholdt
I like this suggestion. How can anyone hear these accusations on the JW grapevine and not investigate for themselves?
It had nothing to do with "a few bad apples." It had everything to do with the fact that the INSTITUTIONAL RESPONSE by Watchtower regarding abuse - BoC
This is so true. If the rules are criminal, immoral and harming children it can't be the true religion. How difficult is that to understand?
