i feel a little smugness from long time posters.
i got out as a kid 20 years ago and since i am a newbie here it feels like we are shown a little less respect.

what are the JW rules once baptised??
by Kate82 inon my other post 'thinking of becoming a jw' people mentioned that once i was baptised i would be told / given rules of what i can / cant do, things like: how i act, dress, how i can have sex with my husband??
what i can and cant eat ( according to some research ive done).
i would be really interested to hear as many of these rules now - as i think its too late after one is baptised.. i would be grateful of as many as possible about anything any topic even thouse i havent mentioned.. thanks x.

Zid- thx for posting the pic- I was seing it the wrong way for the longest time- like a big ruffly skirt- and then thought you might be a raptor (bird) of some sort.

I see nothing wrong with whey protein and getting ripped.
Nothing wrong with making yourself hot as possible. Even if you are doing it just for the girls at first, exercise and muscles will make you feel more confident all around.

Why not. We all judge by physical appearance. The sooner you know that, and look at yourself like someone else sees you, you will see things you want to change. The fact is- had you posted a picture of yourself here everyone would have responded differently. Take control of your outward appearance. Be well groomed, clean, teeth brushed, good clothes, stand up straight.
EVERYONE goes through this point of sorting this stuff out youll be fine- just try to get to know girls. TRY. TRY. TRY.

I think I stumbled onto the eventual plan for the governing body teaching today.....
by EndofMysteries inon the jw.org site, look at the 2/1/2012 public wt, page 27 of the pdf...section 4"how are jehovah's witnesses organized today".
if anybody noticed, i mentioned i thought that no mention of 'faithful and discreet slave' possibly since 2010 in the public placed wt's.
i've read all of them backtracking to 2/1/2012 so far, and so far, my suspicion has proven true, no mention.

My introduction/experience
by happy@last ini have only just recently found this site, in fact only recently gone online to do research of my own about jws.
before i left i had only gone on my gut instinct, not even realising i was not alone with my feelings.
the week i was appointed an elder some 11 years ago, i had had to write to a congregation many miles away from me about how unloving they were (more details below).. not long after i started to have concerns about jws, expecially as the message of 'following the bibles message' subtly changed to 'follow the fds', this did not sit well with me.

I have been thinking about this in the context of the theist-athiest thing that has taken over the past week, and I wonder if WTWizard shares my view:
God may or may not exist, I have a feeling he does not, and if he does we are not friends.
I find Wizards point of view refreshing. Especially his points about enslavement have given me a lot to think about.

i've got a jw at my house right now (unexpectedly) who is talking to my husband.
he keeps on bringing up that only jw's have universal love....that if you go anywhere in the world, you can mention you're a witness & you'll automatically be welcomed and accepted by fellow jw's.

say, what about thepedophile problem. Or- i have something you could read (AKA Apostate lit).
Just make the guy uncomfortable enough so he shuts up.
Or ask him about other aspects of his life.
dont put up with the drivel.
