Not sure what to do next

i'm 19, and i'm still currently a jw.

i guess i'm a born-in, or whatever you guys call it.

i've had some serious issues with the faith at the moment, and sexuality is a huge part.

I had a same sex relationship when I was your age- though it turns out I am notcompletely gay after all. LOL.

While it was fun it was also absolutley terrifying, if anyone found out we would both be disowned! At that time I became very sensitive to the JW attitude towards homosexuality, and I found it very disturbing.

It took me some time to realize that a) sex is not bad, not a sin, and b) sexuality can be fluid, or fixed, but it is a big part of you which you must honor.Its OK to be attracted to whoever you are attracted to. Remember, you are not hurting anyone.

i came on jwd a year ago tomorrow, having realized that jws were not the truth, quite painfully, on march 29, 2008. i was here within a week, and within 2 months i was officially dad by my congregation.. ever since joining, i have never actually wrote down a comprehensive look at why i left the organization.

what doubts caused me to leave?

why did a gilead grad leave what i once considered so precious?.

I need some help ... references needed

i would appreciate your help, please.. my son is approaching an age where he must ponder about going to university or not.

i know that the elders in my congregation will put some pressure into him as to not take it.

as a ms, i will also be put under pressure as to not give him any encouragement in that regards.

no offense but your approach seems backward to me.

Why not review some facts and statistics about college graduates, employment, and earning potential.

Why not ask the kid what he is interested in studying, what kind of career he might like to pursue- what his top schools might- look up rankings and compare them to what his GPA is now.

You can help prepare your kid for college by supporting all the research and preparation that should go into applying. I would leave the WT out of it. Show your support, help him out- and leave off what you are now considering important information in old Watchtowers.

Applying to college is a daunting task,

I will let him make an informed decision by himself.

You realize with the efforts you are describing it is unlikely he will be able to sort through the process himself and may just give up due to your lack of support.

It sounds like you are just trying to cover you ass as an MS.

Lame- when this is your kids future- and you would do well to have the foresight to realize that his future is your future- 30-40 years from now when he has to decide what to do with his aging parents who thought the future would never come.

If your family does what they say they will, it is really going to hurt.

I am generally shunned by my JW family and it is very sad. I hope you can find happiness and independence and freedom as you get ready for the next phase of your life.

in the first post in this series i discussed the identity of the watchtower as per revelation 13. the second post dealt with the identity of the harlot and the scarlet beast.

this post will deal with the third element "the image of the beast", lets read revelation 13:15-17:.

the second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

College On The Cheap! Have You Thought Of Attending College? You Can Very Cheaply!

lots of friends and jws are dealing with depression, some are sad they never went to college and wonder what it's like to get a degree.

the watchtower guilted her members by telling them they were worldy if they wanted a higher education.

college in community schools were free when i took ap classes in high school.

Its legit- its free- but no credit.

And no credit= no degree.

what field sponsors employee education. The economy is killing my generation with its abundance of unpaid internships. Do you know how hard it is to find someone to PAY you to WORK- cant imagine an employer paying me to work and go to school too.
