I think i get it. Your comment on meditating w drugs was humor based on my comment on laughing snowflakes. Seriously, i can see why someone would say that, but i wasn't on any drugs at the time, or months before.

30 years a WT slave
by larc insomeone on another thread asked about schnell's book, thirty years a watchtower slave.
i have a copy of it, but hadn't looked at in many years.
i reviewed it again, and understand its importance better now that i know more about the jw history.. let me summarize some of the information that struck me.

Is it all Rutherfords fault?
by sleepy init has been said that the gb are just followers of followers.. they had belived a lie all their lives and have taught others the same.. in another post i've disscussed how i'd like to know more about russell and rutherford.. were they followers of followers or corupt.. many seem to point to rutherford as the bad guy.. even in the societies own books he seems to come off as a dodgy guy.. was russell guenuine in his belief , or was he courupt too?.
so who is mostly to blame for the jw religon russell or rutherford?.
or is it ourselves ,did we just decive ourselves and seek to pass the blame when the truth dawned?.

Bible Error: Jesus Cures the Leper
by JosephAlward inthe author of mark thinks that jesus cured the leper after he cured simon peters mother-in-law, but the author of matthew says just the opposite: he thinks that jesus cured the leper before he cured the mother-in-law.
they both cannot be right, so the bible is in error.

Finally, a christian who has actually seen jesus. You know. i've posed that question to a few of the know-it-all christians here, and they thought it was dumb. I guess thats the difference between book learning and actual experience. Don't get me wrong, i don't agree w your theology, but that, imo, is secondary to 'the spirit'.

she seems to think the congregation here is the only one that is corrupt.
she writes to the society and gets no response, she emails and has her letters returned (she doesn't know about the email blocks), she has tried to talk to the elders and they turn her away.

Sometimes when i am meditating, snowflakes seem to be laughing, like a bunch of kids in a 'nigger pile'. Is there consciousness in the creation? Sometimes i wonder.

If you have patience for that person, that's great. I spent about 3 years having long talks 2 or 3 days a week with a fringe but too smart jw. I would deprogramm some doctrine, and then he would go see a jw freind of his or an elder and get reprogramed. The elders verbally abused him and a couple of times physically hit him. Finally i just told him to do what yhe wants. His life is his. I'm not responsible for it in any way. He still calls me, and i ignore them. Every couple of months i will talk to him. He has basically stopped going to meetings, after 4 years.
I'm just telling you my experience to show what can be involved.
