i wonder how many of ya'll took up smoking after the left the org?
personally i have tried a ciggy a time or two but didn't really take to it...if i am going to smoke something i want it to make me...uuummm happy

While still a jw, i used to wonder how smoking cigs could be 'spiritism'. The research i did on it showed that someone who smokes a whole lot between long periods of abstenance can change his conscioussness state. I smoked for 6 months. Shortly after starting, someone gave me a white owl cigar. Smoking it not only change my state of mind but also the state of my body;) But for someone who has controled daily intake, that isn't the case. According to a japanese study, it made men more open to new ideas, and more positive to women. Associates have told me it helps w boredom and stress.

Witnesses Just Tried to Have Me Arrested!!!!
by Reborn2002 inwell, i just got home and im piping madd.. im laughing about it as well though because i outsmarted them at their own game and got a rant off my chest.. heres what happened.
an acquaintance i used to go to the hall with.. who is also 3 years younger than me asked me for money about 6 months ago.. at the time, i loaned him $50 to get the tires on his car fixed.
in that time period, not only did he move out of his parents house to an undisclosed location because he decided to stop going to the kh.. but i also da myself in that time frame.. due to the fact he moved out, i havent been able to reach him.. i tried calling his parents home to discover his current location or at least to tell them if he contacts them, to be sure to have him reach me because he owes me money.. no response.

Well maybe a key point here is, who are jesus' brothers? Is it the jews, the gb, or african americans. You described jesus bros as being in the following straits...'his brothers would be ill-treated; some would be in prison, others, hungry, sick, and naked' You said this COULD befall the gb. That's a very big could. It certainly doesn't apply now. It doesn't apply to jews, as they do very well generally, probably better than any other race. And so, i submit that the blacks are jesus' real brothers because as a racial group in the us, they suffer the most in the above named categories. Furthermore, (i love that word, i think this is the first time i've used it. I'm really learning stuff here) africa is one of the most messed up continents as far as human misery goes. I rest my case.

25 post limit slowed me down.
No diff, man. There are just varying degrees, or levels of spiritual progress. Jesus is the door (one of them). Most born again christians hang around the door the rest of their lives, but the spiritual kingdom is vast. Once you have gone through the door, there is no limit to what you can do. Why let the wt stop you? Jesus said you could do greater things than he. But since i don't care that much for the bible, i'll leave explaining it all biblically to a christian who is more so inclined. But i will quote one scripture that comes to mind which i agree with. If you are not born again of spirit, you cannot SEE the kingdom of heaven, or something like that. Probably john 3. It means that one who doesn't have this spiritual experience is blind. Can you see the spiritual kingdom?
