  Preview of Forum vNext - "Return of JWD"

  meh, what the heck ... some people already noticed / discovered it anyway .... i put a preview of the new site up on the original .com domain if anyone wants to try it:.

  it is incomplete but should show some of the new features.. right now the home page shows topics for the entire site which you can sort by when they were started, last updated or the number of posts (rating will come later).

  Assuming the flood story was true , did humans eat meat before the flood ?

  Why didnt Jehovah give any science or technology to the jews...

  ive asked a few jws and other believers why god never gave technology to his people but no one has been able to answer this.

  why are his people copying the pagans.

  their writing system without vowels means they couldnt even write his holy name down accurately.

  Yah, i know. It doesn't make sense. If the smartest god of the universes was teaching the jews, they should have had all kinds of super tech. Instead, jews couldn't even accomplish putting together an empire.

  Cuz, god was their miracle worker. If they needed running water - poof, god gave them running water. If they hankered for kentucky fried quail - poof, god made kfq for them. If they wanted computers - poof, god killed them. Unappreciative lot, that they were.

  in the past there were horses here.. .

  i could gently lay my head up against them and breath in the delicious unique fragrance that subtly drifts from a horse.. as the warm pleasant sent entered me it immediately calmed my nerves, stopped my mind, and carried me along into a sense of unmoving unity.

  there was no longer a me and a horse; there was just pure presence/life/being.. no words can explain.. .

  I remember it for a 2 day hall build. It was the first one in quebec, i believe. I worked my guts out, on that one. I think, i also painted a ct garage, there. Ct paid a lot more than the jws did.

  Lac megantic is way up there, in the boonies. Don't what all those tank cars would be doing up there. Maybe, they a method of storage. Guess, i should check it out.

  i could give you hundreds of experiences but let me kick off with the following.

  i boarded a train at 4am heading to an airport a few weeks ago.

  in my carriage there were at least 100 people.. .

  I got it in quebec. French speaking staff sometimes walked away, when i spoke english. Also, a lot of reactions: oh, youre speaking english. When i spoke french, some would say, we don't speak english, here. I have an accent, of course, when i speak french.

  Your views and ideas on forum areas and organization?

  this may come as a shock to some people, but the current forum structure was kind of thrown together without much real thought and then evolved a bit over time.

  there are a few things that particularly grate on me and areas where i don't think the subjects work particularly well.

  'friends' is a bit vague and becomes a dumping ground, news & world events vs politics & current affairs is hard to decide sometimes, child abuse is a scandal but isn't contained withing 'scandals & coverups' etc.... with a new forum platform imminent, it's a good time to solicit ideas to improve things.

  I find the 2 main categories 'wt' and 'jws' confusing, since to me, the are almost the same idea. Seems to me that they could be merged and then the distinction brought out in subcategories. Maybe the subcategories could be something like 'the corporation' or 'the gb' and then another or 'the people'. Dunno, maybe i'm the only one thats gets confused.
