Good point. Its funny that they don't see that they have pecking orders. Seems to me, thats what the org is all about. The biggest chicken is jehovah;)

they don't realize it but there is a pecking order.
you especially see it when the circuit overseer comes by.

i am not the most "deep" wt student, and i am trying to beef up on wt theology so i can reassess my belief system and prove to myself that what i am planning to do is the right thing.
but what i lack in wt theology knowledge, i make up in some philosophical knowledge.
wt theology teaches a purely physicalist standpoint, in which our soul is limited to our bodies, no spirit.
'This does not mean that the life-force actually travels to heaven. Rather, it means that for someone who dies, any hope of future life rests with Jehovah God. His life is in God's hands, so to speak. Only by God's power can the spirit, or life-force, be given back so that a person may live again."'
So then, when jesus' 'life' was transfered from heaven to mary, was anything transfered? My question, unanswerable by jws, i would guess. The nice thing about this question is that its a simple yes, no question. No long explanation is necesary. Although, if a jw DID answer yes or no, an explanation would be required.

The hard part is syncing our times, you being somewhere else on the planet than i am. How about a search on niacin benefits? I recently did a search on this. Likely you haven't. So, if google is tailoring the result for me cuz its something that it has noted as a point of interest for me and not you, then our searches should be different. Kay, here are my google results for niacin benefits, w those 2 words separate, ie, in the first box, as a nonphrase:

it will empower you to whatever you feed it.
you can feed it good thoughts or you can feed it disempowering beliefs.
it will work towards achieving whatever it is fed.
'I’m praying that you choose to control your own mind.'
And, how will prayer work in giving control of ones mind to oneself? Are you praying that god/jesus will affect someones mind, somehow? How is that giving control to the person. True self mind control is to be without influence of any gods or demons or people, like people who pray for people. Unless, you are praying that people should be totally free of gods and spirits, then your thoughts are contradictory.
I see shirley already covered this.

also, snowden - who i believe history will look upon favorably.
when you grow up as a witness, it can be hard to imagine anyone sacrificing themselves for humanity.
Every so often, by some fluke, there is someone like assange and snowden that just happens to be in the right place at the opportune time and who has the guts to do something that creates a small ripple on the sea of humanity.
For the rest of us random acts of kindness are the way to go. Lift the spirits of those around you. Its about all you can do. The average herd member is pretty much on autopilot.

Here is more to make the brain hurt....
*** w10 4/1 p. 5 What Jesus Taught About Himself ***
“The Son of man” Jesus used this expression more than any other to refer to himself. (Matthew 8:20) He thus showed that he was neither a materialized angel nor an incarnation. Rather, he was fully human. By his holy spirit, God transferred his Son’s life from heaven to earth, causing conception in the womb of the virgin girl Mary. As a result, Jesus was born as a perfect, sinless human.—Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:35; John 8:46
My enterpretation of this is that the wt tries to stear clear of dualism. Ann's question remains...
'What is the 'something' of the person that can exist without the physical body? Surely that 'something' is non-physical, intangible.'

It doesn't count as true dualism. On this level, they are true materialists, as much as the hardest core atheist. On the other hand, they view god, jesus, the angels and the demons as spirit men, ie beings that have a definite location and have defined bodies. The only difference is, they are built w or of spirit. Their god is the uber alpha spirit man who they claim also has a definite location which is the heavens of the heavens. That location is outside of the universe, according to the aid book. To them, spirit is just another substance.
That view of spirit is far from the standard christian view of spirit, of god, or even quantum physics. Standard christianity sees god as being everywhere, yet inpalpable. It sees us humans as physical w a whispy spirit meshed in at every level in an undescribable way. To the wt, that kind of thinking is idiocy. The wt isn't capable of dualistic thinking. It thinks only ONE way. They are like 19th century scientists.
