GB in jail is a pleasant thought, but what i really think is the right approach is to ban ALL proselytising. No jw, mormon, muslim, christian, or larouchians (you know) allowed to peddle or push their religions, either from door to door or in any public place on pain of a huge fine shared by the org and individual. Let god do his own damm work. He's been resting long enough.

We all know they don't believe a word of this. They contradict this by then saying
'Center our attention on the congregation and the organization'
All of their advices point towards everything external for joy: study bible, study wt, feild service, meetings, take care of old people, think of how many jws think the same as them, etc etc. Any jw who noticed and tries to apply the internal joy thought is going to get royally messed up.
The 'internal joy' concept is new age, eastern religious in origin, i believe. It is an important truth.

we are made in god's image and he is a person, not just some invisible, omnipresent force.

well, the other night i had invited a young man to my house to share with him, respectfully, the false prophecies of the wt, using older wt books.
the conversation started very nicely, with the usual small talk and such.
i decided to ask some questions, that i knew the answers to, but just wanted to get the gears in his head turning.

I was 'saved', born again whatever. I had some spiritual experiences. I saw jesus. I went through the 'door'. But a person doesn't have to hang around the door for the rest of his life. The room which an illumined person enters is bigger than you can imagine! Jesus won't be upset if you go exploring. He is glad you are in, but you aren't bound/chained to him. What kind of person do you think he us anyway? He wants your freedom. Come on, Be ready to let go. You are growed up now.

the fourth paragraph on page 30 in the october 1, 2001 wt says this:.
"getting back to paul's statement in hebrews, we note that he pointed out that "there remains a sabbath resting for the peoples of god," and he urged his fellow christians to do their utmost "to enter into that rest.
" this shows that when paul wrote those words, "the seventh day" of god's rest, which had started some 4,000 years earlier, was still in progress.
