Don't know who I arrived with but Francois, LB, teejay, Matty, BluesBrother, Perry, Kenpodragon were around and posted some memorable info and thoughts. I wonder whatever happened to them.

what are common experiences we have, conflicts and resolutions of these situations?
i.e df'ing, brainwashing?
i'm starting a screenplay, and just want the basic's for a skeleton.
Love story about a JW boy who falls in love with a beautiful girl but alas they are not to be because she is not a JW. Sad ending.
i'm reading crisis of conscience again, on page 253, at the end of the chapter on 1975, he says the watchtower made an apology for all the hype regarding 1975, apparently stated in the march 15, 1980 watchtower.. can someone please post this ????????.
blondie, where are you !!!!!!!!!!.
anyone know of any other statements the watchtower said regarding their mistake in hyping this ??

Your quotes were from the Kingdom Ministry. What is that?

tonight channel 7 (abc) 11:00 p.m. pacific time.
tonight on the practice, the attorney's are going to trial to battle against a jehovah's witness who is refusing to allow a daughter (i think it's a daughter) to have a blood transfusion.
they are arguing that the victim is not a jw and the jws are interfering where they do not belong.. i dont know if this is a repeat or not.
What about the fact that the mother was a nurse? I found that ironic. What did she do at work? Refuse to give blood to her patients? And wouldn't she have had to go to college to get that registered nurse degree? Delivering the baby in the courtroom was over the top too!
Just my observations.

if a single jw brother and a married sister are involved (secretly wishing her husband will commit adultery so she can get a divorce) and get caught, can't the husband get a divorce and the couple just get df'd for a year, get reinstated, and be together?
what's so hard about waiting a year if everyone welcomes them back and they end up together?
does this religion have anything to do with jehovah?

Thank you for responding to my question. Why did it not go to Friends? I wanted to post it. Where did you see my question? I'm a lurker and never post. Guess I don't really know how. If you reply I may not ever find you message!! Thanks again

These same 2 people look down on non-JWs who wouldn't even think of doing what they are doing because they think it's wrong. It seems so hypocritical. These 2 are very poplar, good looking, friendly, outgoing and everyone in the cong. loves his mom. I'll bet they'd get reinstated with no problems. Is this how it works? I don't get it.

if a single jw brother and a married jw sister have sex (secretly wishing that her husband commits adultery so she can divorce him) and they get caught would her husband be able to divorce her no problem and wouldn't they just be df''d for a year?
then after a year could they be reinstated and then be together?
they are both very popular as they are both good looking, friendly and lots of fun.

Thanks.

i have a friend that was df'd last year.
he hasn't committed the "sin" in a year and doesn't plan on doing it again either.
he has been very strong and wants to get reinstated.

I just read your bio. I should have guessed you were from Arkansas when you said "dang"!
So it's better to get reinstated and then go inactive. That way you can still have your JW friends and family and your pagan friends too.

Thanks for the info. I know my friend goes to a lot of the meetings. We live in a small town and he has been in the same KH all his life. I guess he's just never approached an elder yet. I know he feels guilt and thinks he's wrong and they are right. I can't really talk too much about it all with him because I'm afraid he will think I'm a bad influence and stop talking to me altogether. Why do I care? I'm not sure except that I see his pain. We only became friends I think because none of his friends or family would talk to him and he needed someone. I didn't know anything about the Witnesses before that.

He has been a JW all his life and it is all he knows. Why is it taking so long? What does he have to do? Is it just a matter of time? The more he is out of their fellowship, the more chances of being tempted there are. He's been so hurt, I don't know why he would even care but he says he doesn't question the teachings. That would mean death, right? By the way, I'm new here but have been reading your posts on and off for a year (since my friend got DF'd). I finally got the nerve to write.
