WOW nice work Kim. I watched it all. Very compelling. That video had to be made because no JW would believe it if you told them the crap that guy was spouting down the phone. So sorry that it upset you because of your own family situtation with your mum. my goodness!

What is your weirdest field service experience ?
by cookiemaster inmine just popped in my head and i just had to share it.
a few years ago i went with a special pioneer(and elder) at one of his studies who was a cow herder in the mountains.
obviously, even though we were going to the middle of nowhere, where no one lived, we just had to go all dressed up in nice suits and all.

i remember working with my mum in FS and we called on a big(ish) house with one of those traditional bell chains. I pulled it expecting to hear the jangling of a bell but nothing happened. we carried on talking to each other. then I said to my mum "did you hear the bell ring?" she said no and tried pulling the chain. again nothing. so I said "I think it's stuck" so I pulled. By this time we were laughing. so my mum then pulled the chain trying to get it to ring. and so it went on. Suddenly a man's head and naked torso appeared out of the upstairs window, completely dripping wet, so stressed he was almost crying and shouting at us "what's your problem ringing my bell like that!" he went on. at which point I noticed that the chain simply connected to an electric bell so the poor guy must have been in the bath or shower listening to the insistent ringing of a door bell. We were laughing for ages about that but how annoying lol
There was another time I was working with an elder's wife and on her door this young lad answered and said "sorry, I can't stop I've got to wipe the kitten's bum". We were both laughing so much that her husband had to split us up.

Hey Julia - I found your interview really interesting. Really feel I've got to know you better. Agree with a lot of what you say - so much I would like to say but I have to run back to work now. So glad you're reconnecting with your art - don't ever let it go, it's part of you.

My brother died yesterday
by satinka in"albert" was 55 years old, and the fifth-born of seven children.
i am the second oldest and babysat him often while he was growing up --- and while i was still at home.. yesterday, albert was out taking his usual morning stroll around his small town, when he collapsed on the sidewalk.
the doctors said it was a heart attack.

Could this be the Atom Bomb when it comes to waking up Someone? Could it Work?
by BU2B incould this be the home run swing when it comes to waking up a spouse?
could it work?
yesterday i was checking out this website http://howcultswork.com/.

It's a good idea as long as they don't look around the other pages of the site. The drop down menu under "Cults" has some info about Jehovah's Witnesses which isn't accurate (under the heading "What They Won't Tell You" - many of the issues any JW would be only too happy to tell people e.g. that they don't believe in the trinity etc). Unfortunately I do think this will make the site lose credibility in the eyes of any JW who might have initially been impressed by the first page. I got the impression the site was run by a christian group - that might also undermine its message to JWs. I think Steve Hassan's more academic approach is best...

Hello, its good to be back, seriously!
by AllTimeJeff infor the last year or so, the opening lyrics to gloria estefan's "always tomorrow" have been howling at me.. i've been alone inside myself, far too long.
never really wanted it that way, but i let it happen..... .
(btw, the message in that song is great for former jw's, if you want to think about the lyrics that way....).

AllTimeJeff thanks so much for your honest post. I'm done pretending like you and many others on this forum. It gets to that point and, like you say, time is precious. keep the lyrics coming I love 'em too
