I see what you're saying konceptual99, and I know I'm also speculating but I also think the carts have been "strategically placed"... It's a typical JW thing to do.
Our congregation carts aren't kept at the kingdom hall - it could be the same with Honiton? But who knows?

2017 Yearbook released
by bohm ini saw this on reddit:.
https://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/5mlgsm/2017_yearbook_of_jehovahs_witnesses/.
overall the numbers are better than last year (1.8% growth compared to 1.5% last year -- as i predicted ;-) ) with an increase in all major figures including 1300 more congregations (i assume this is not physical kingdom halls?).

I've had a quick scan through the worldwide report.
The thing I noticed the most is that the MAJORITY of western countries have 0% or a minus % growth.
This reflects what I see in real life... Publishers have less zeal these days, families are finding it tough, we are bogged down by how we are supposed to live under the Borg. The "truth" has become more boring with all the dumbing down.
Although in number terms there is 1.8% growth - we all know that in reality JW Land is in decline ... As more people leave more will follow... The GB can turn off the lights on the way out.

A few weeks ago a pioneer sister in my congregation said she couldn't stand Lett ... That he really wound her up with his voice and facial expressions.
I can't stand any of them!

Has waking up ever made you physically ill?
by fizzle inhas waking up ever made you physically ill?

Thanks for your replies everyone.
Ive been awake to TTATT for about 9 months now.
I got glued to this forum and the exjw Reddit sub ... Started doing loads of research, started picking apart every meeting item in my mind.
I then found myself becoming depressed - I went through a couple of weeks where I just didn't want to do anything, everything was a struggle work, socialising etc...
I guessed it was because I was reading so much on the forums - and battling with my own mind that I felt depressed so I decided to stop reading the forums and just live with the fact that it isn't the truth but get on with it because of family etc...
Now a few weeks later I'm suffering from some strange symptoms (I can't give too much away on here at the moment) - my doctor can't find anything wrong with me... But I think it's down to subconscious anxiety because of knowing TTATT but trying to carry on as normal.
I realise that in the long run I would be better off if I just "came clean" to family and explained to them how I feel about things... But that would open up the biggest can of worms ever! :(
Any tips would be really appreciated.

Hi All
Thanks for your replies so far...
Yes I mean waking up to TTATT.
Its such a struggle when you know it's all wrong but you have to keep up appearances (for now) because of family etc.. :(

Major Doctrinal Changes Must Be On The Way
by notsurewheretogo inthe statement in the article "who is leading gods people today?
" in the feb 17th study edition of the wt is very interesting.. it states: ""the g.b.
is neither inspired nor infallible" ..we can err .in doctrinal matters....".

I could see them altering the 144000 doctrine...
They will say... "The rest of Rvelation 7: 4 - 8 is symbolic ... This means that the actual number 144000 is also symbolic... Meaning that the actual specific number of anointed ones isn't known."
The R & F will wonder in amazement and think wow of course that all makes sense... How come I never noticed that in those verses myself!

Hi untruth,
Good to have you on the forum.
I'm an ex elder ... I started waking up about 9 months ago ... It's really tough going - and as you say gets harder each day.
I'm in a similar situation to you regarding my wife... All we've spoken about so far is the new generation teaching... She agrees that it just doesn't make sense... I'm at a loss as to what to talk about next.
I also wonder how many elders feel the same ... There must be a fair number waking up as Elders are a lot closer to the nitty gritty of the org than standard pubs.
Feel free to PM me... We might be able to help each other.
