i was wondering if there are people here from the netherlands.

The Young & not so young taking drugs @ Music Festivals in OZ.

music festivals are supposed to be entertaining events for young and old alike ,so why is it that so many youths and one`s in their twenty`s & thirty`s are being treated for drug overdoses at these venues ?.

their is so much information about the dangers of using drugs at these events or anywhere else ,why do they do it ?.

they put their own life at risk and traumatize those that try to treat them ?.

Sometimes pills are contaminated with other substances. Sometimes people forget to look after themselves when they are on drugs, they forget to drink water or cool down. Or the combination of drugs+alcohol and being out in the sun all day gets to them and off course sometimes they take too much.

Gay ex-JWs who were in special full-time service

are there any gay ex-witnesses on here who were in special full-time service such as circuit work, bethelite, mts, or missionary work?

i was always told there were a lot gays in full-time service but it always felt very lonely.

I live in the Netherlands.

We had a circus overseer here that was gay. I remember him and his wife staying at our place for dinner or the night whem I was a child. That was in the 80s. I believe he was caught by another co having gay dates somewhere late 90s or 00s. Had been doing it for years. I saw him at the last convention I went to in 2013. Divorced, no longer CO and everything about him was gay... But he was still in. Must be horrible to never be able to be who you are.

I doubt this will lead to tax exemption. Its not an investigation into the religion but into 9 individual cases. European laws are very much protecting religious institutions as well.

I don't want to push it into my family's face yet. But for the Dutch public prosecutor to take such extreme measures is telling. We are a very liberal country and when the abuse scandal in catholic church was investigated this didn't happen.

I guess this is the result of refusing to cooperate with the investigation. Leviticus 5:1 is a scripture I'm gonna use when discussing this with the JWs I still see.
