Yes and no. You must remember that human psychology plays a part along with stupidity. Why do people join cults like Jim Jones? Why is religion still around? Why do people pay to see WWE wrestling when they know it is fake?

Aren't you a bit amazed that the WTS/JWS is still around ?
by Finkelstein ini know i am, to me its a bit of a peculiar anomaly that the wts is still around and functioning in reflection of its decades and now complete century that the wts has been bullshitting to people .
organizations like the church of god have shrunk dramatically from its heyday of the 1980's, this too was another organization that spread and grew by publishing its own magazine proclaiming a armageddon soon doctrine and its main publication was called " the truth " .
i'm guessing some of this has to do with the fact that people who get lured into this cult aren't aware of its past, its doctrines, the people who started it and so forth.

I am shocked that supposedly former cult members are here attempting to defend a dangerous cult/political ideology masquerading as a religion (you can't leave - penalty death, you can't question teachings - penalty lashings and/or death, don't even dare make fun of Mo - penalty death for certain, if you are gay - penalty stoning and/or beheading or thrown from the highest building, probably beheading, adultery - penalty lashings, removal of genitals and possibly death, penalty for accusing a male of rape, lashings and/or death... shall I go on?). If you are so pro-Islam then why aren't you so pro-JW which despite being a cult does not go around killing people in the name of Jehovah?
I know, some will say, "but that was ISIS who killed the gay boy!" Well then I'll ask you, WHERE DID ISIS GET THE IDEA TO KILL THE GAYS FROM??? Did they simply make it up or is in written in Islam's most holy texts???
Islam is the most misogynist, racist, bigoted religion on earth today outside of a few dangerous fringe cults. My conclusion is that if Islam numbered only a few hundred members in one place, they would be outlawed. But they are "too big to ban." So now they have become political pawns for this giant chess game.
You need to turn off the TV and wake up! Every day, hundreds of accounts of terror in the name of Islam.

The carts or trolleys are going to be around for a long time yet
by pepperheart ini say that because it works for both the people doing field service and the watchtower.
for the people its easier standing than having to walk and you can have a chat with other jws as well.
for the watchtower they tell the drones that the general public must make the first move(to stop the general public complaining about being pestered) but in doing so it means that they are not giving many magazines etc away but that suits the watchtower because magazines and even single page trats cost money and that seems to be one thing that the watchtower dont have .

Punk! You are an artist! ;)
I do believe the trolleys are the best idea yet because nobody really comes up to them. They set one up outside my office area and I watched all day as not a single person came to take literature. A few people stopped, looked at the titles and artwork and realized it was cult literature and kept on walking.

Watchtower & Guns
by freemindfade inapparently jehalapeno isn't a 2nd amendment supporter either.... .
july 17 questions from readers.... the way this part is worded screams cult to me, i was quite amused.. how a christian chooses to protect himself, his family, or his possessions is, of course, largely a personal matter, as is his choice of employment.. geee!
thanks watchtower for allowing me to "largely chose my own employment" you are a generous cult lol.

Hi Village! Those look like .22s to me. Why did you have to sell everything?
Freemind- yes I agree. One gun I recommend to you might not be the best for you. Everyone has to find what feels right in their hands. And I can't stress practice practice practice! In all states if you want a CCW you have to take a basic training course but I personally don't think that is enough. I took it because it was a prerequisite for the advanced tactical I took. I went from preschool to med school in one afternoon.

I really like the grip on the Shield as it reminds me of a Walther PPS or most H&K which have nice meaty grips. They feel good in the hand. The thing I learned about a gun is getting to know how to use it and feel comfortable with it, like an extension of your body instead of a device to be used. It helps in emergency situations if you needed to use it. I highly recommend everyone takes a tactical course or advanced training course. It is fun and helps you to not be afraid of your gun. I went to one that was 3 days after meeting the requirements and prerequisites. Many good looking girls were there! Now I have to wonder what hot girl is carrying!

Very nice! I always wanted a 1911 but I'm a fan of good old sliding action. Also not that easy to carry due to weight.
YES! Building your own AR is extremely addictive! I first bought a cheap AR from S&W Sport which was nice but I wanted more. Sold it. Then I upgraded to a CORE15 and added a full rail and sights and grip. Then I started buying the upper and swapping out all the internals for better parts. It really can be fun but some things you need to know what you are doing, like the gas return. I used to think I was the only Korean this much into guns but I have found many in my area who love guns and have spent tens of thousands of $$$$ on guns. One of my clients who is also Korean has a collection worth over $100k (and he was a director for the NRA.) I must have spent already several thousand on ammo alone. As I said before, it is an expensive hobby but so much fun!

Yes! It is the Shield. I wanted to get a CCW permit so I thought the Shield would be good because it was small but I found out that in NJ it is almost impossible to get a CCW but soon I will be moving to Florida where I can get a CCW.
My favorite handgun I own is the Ruger LC9s. The Ruger has the best trigger on the market. I shoot 2 inch groups at 20 meters. But you can't beat an AR15 for everyday use.
