by smiddy inaccording to an article in the herald sun tues.march 28 2017 ,australian children were abused in more than 4000 institutions new data by the child abuse royal commission has revealed.. male clergy were most commonly perpertrators of the abuse followed by teachers and residential care workers while boys aged 10-14 were the most common victims.. the arc started its 57th and final case study yesterday ,chair justice peter mcclellan confirmed that after four years the $500 million commission was on track to deliver its final report on december the 15th (2017).

I love how only two groups are responsible for the majority of the child abuse: The JW and the RCC. Considering the RCC has 1.7 Billion members, the total percentage of child abuse is very low compared to the JW with only 8 million (pathetic) members. The irony is stunning. Years ago I remember the WT would go on long rants about how bad the Catholic Church was and they had many child abuse cases and the JWs I knew were actually celebrating that news because it made them look good. Suddenly, their scandal has been exposed and now they are silent!

New letter about Circuit Conventions accounting procedures

i heard that on 3/27/2017 a letter with new instructions about the accounts at the circuit conventions was released.
the letter seems to adopt many of the corrections that had been suggested here at the forum, among other things during the accounts report they will be no mention of the per capita and the amount due is going to be released only to the elders.

I think it was always a cash making scheme for the Borg... eye opening from an ex-elder. I always wonder why there was a deficit at every convention even when the building was paid for, electricity is very cheap and trash removal is minimal... why would a one day assembly cost $12k?

Number of Muslims who protested the Danish paper's cartoons = many thousands world-wide, lots of flag-burning, embassy burning, proclamations of death to the West, violence, and the odd murder or two.
More Muslims protested about a f**king cartoon than protested about a lunatic who ran over pedestrians and stabbed a police officer to death. That's shameful.

Thank you LUHE. Actually that of course is the point of this entire thread but it was lost on those with their biases showing and their heads up their asses. Thank you for mentioning the cartoon as well. Muslims worldwide came out to protest a cartoon but a terrorist attack that killed people that is indeed 100% in the name of Islam is NOT protested says everything. My example was in France, hundreds of Muslims came out and blocked the streets and protested just two days after the attack to protest the closure of an illegal Mosque. That is correct, a Mosque that was deemed illegal by a court for various infractions was closed and hundreds of Muslims came out to protest that..... but how many came out to protest this attack? To make things worse, on the Arabic news feed of the attack in London, hundreds of "ordinary Muslims" laughed and celebrated and cheered the attacks saying things like "Praise Allah for he has punished the infidels" and "We need more lone wolves to attack the infidels in the name of Allah!"
But of course the left says, "this has nothing to do with Islam..." I still noticed that none of the usual defenders here dared to touch that video because it says everything we need to know. It reminds me of a meme I saw floating around that had a radical Muslim holding a knife and suicide vest chanting "death to Americans and Jews KILL KILL KILL infidels!" and in the next frame on CNN a reporter saying, "he doesn't really mean that!" I don't understand the infatuation with defending the most dangerous of ideologies on earth....

I love how I hear almost everyday on the TV how we should not worry about Muslim extremists in America but instead the real threat is right wing Christians. Well then, riddle me this:
"If Muslims are so peaceful, why are so many people afraid to offend them? If Christians are so dangerous, why is nobody afraid to offend them?"
I hate nothing more than the deceitful lying media changing the script and now praising Islam while attacking Christians. I don't like any religion, but I never feel that I have to be worried if I went to an all Christian event if I was wearing a rainbow flag shirt or a shirt that said, "Jesus was a jerk." At the most I would be berated. On the other hand if I did the same at an Islamic event I would be physically attacked.

by Finkelstein ini know i am, to me its a bit of a peculiar anomaly that the wts is still around and functioning in reflection of its decades and now complete century that the wts has been bullshitting to people .
organizations like the church of god have shrunk dramatically from its heyday of the 1980's, this too was another organization that spread and grew by publishing its own magazine proclaiming a armageddon soon doctrine and its main publication was called " the truth " .
i'm guessing some of this has to do with the fact that people who get lured into this cult aren't aware of its past, its doctrines, the people who started it and so forth.

I am shocked that supposedly former cult members are here attempting to defend a dangerous cult/political ideology masquerading as a religion (you can't leave - penalty death, you can't question teachings - penalty lashings and/or death, don't even dare make fun of Mo - penalty death for certain, if you are gay - penalty stoning and/or beheading or thrown from the highest building, probably beheading, adultery - penalty lashings, removal of genitals and possibly death, penalty for accusing a male of rape, lashings and/or death... shall I go on?). If you are so pro-Islam then why aren't you so pro-JW which despite being a cult does not go around killing people in the name of Jehovah?

The carts or trolleys are going to be around for a long time yet

for the people its easier standing than having to walk and you can have a chat with other jws as well.
for the watchtower they tell the drones that the general public must make the first move(to stop the general public complaining about being pestered) but in doing so it means that they are not giving many magazines etc away but that suits the watchtower because magazines and even single page trats cost money and that seems to be one thing that the watchtower dont have .

I do believe the trolleys are the best idea yet because nobody really comes up to them. They set one up outside my office area and I watched all day as not a single person came to take literature. A few people stopped, looked at the titles and artwork and realized it was cult literature and kept on walking.
