Its basically criminal what they are doing but i understand its a form of control. The sad part is the people who believe this. Its like one seeing a person put the rope around there neck with a smile thinking they are doing the right thing to the path towards salvation.
Sometimes one needs to let a drowning person who wont see reality drown rather than have them drag you down too. Its such a pity.

The sad thing is that their are people who believe this and are throwing away their lives. I understand free will but a person in a cult might not have all the mental facilities to evaluate situations unbiasedly.
when i first started looking at “apostate” sites , i was always watching over my shoulder, hoping no one would catch me viewing “spiritual pornography”.
i found these types of sites mesmerizing but i never thought i’d join one.... look at me now.😈.
Never in a million years. Im still not sure if its a blessing or a curse the impact a person has had on me, making me grow up and become a better person while i see the other person go down the rabbit whole deeper and deeper where i dont recognize them anymore.
guilt is such a wonderful tool used by the jehovah’s witnesses.
one of the terms they love to use is the term “blood guilty.” they have actually used this term to guilt their members into doing more and more “house to house activity” yes, they have said on numerous occasions at their kingdom halls and other major gathering that a person “could be blood guilty” for not going out in the field service activity enough.
the reason is simple.
I feel pity and sadness for those people. You can lead a horse to water but you cant force them to drink it. Seeing first hand the level of destruction of a person is hard
my father would have started college 49 years ago this week.
about three months earlier, the week he graduated high school, the awake!
magazine came out with some very clear direction to teenagers.
They did it as a control mechanism sadly. The interesting thing is older people that i still talk to time to time are like, no go and do your degree, go out there an make something of yourself ignore what they say. The young ones are like let me get a trade skill so i can go door to door...... :(
what could you say to prove to a witness that they simply do not have the truth?.
One can plant seeds of doubt but that can go in one ear and out the other. Ironically using their same words when a person is ready to accept and learn the truth then they can open their eyes to reality.
To this day i still remember two conversations where reality did not matter to a person i care about deeply. Facts and reality wont help when the other person yells i believe in the bible.
so i wont get into why i asked my jw wife to leave... theres another thread for that lol... but more out of pure curiosity i asked her just now... "in order to save this marriage would you leave the jws?
", it was a snap call no, like not even a second to pause and think about it, which kinda took me back a bit, followed by a angry "why would you ask me that now?
" (shes going out witnessing with my kids and her friends).
Its amazing how much the JW can change a person and not toward the better. They have not all but most like a fake smile and an actual disdain for ones actual well being. Like from my limited time and interaction i dont see wifes with love affection towards their husbands, more like a side kick or friend view if that makes any sense. Again im so sorry you are dealing with this
