Hi there waiting.

I am so sorry to read of the sexual abuse your daughter recieved from within the WTS.

If those things weren't bad enough, the cover-up by those that should have been there for you, and her, is totaly unexcusable.

If it is of any consolation, the Bible tells us that God will repay evil-doers for the evil that they do.

It is good to see, that even because of your experience with some within the WTS, you don't condemn the whole organization as being the same.

Hi AhHah, and RedhorseWoman,
Thanks for the replies.

All I can say to the information and facts you both refer to, is just because an organization claims to be of God, that is no guarantee of total perfection and that everything is 'honky-dorry'.

As for my username, 'sandgroper' is a term given to anyone who lives in Western Austrlia, especially Perth, by people in other states of Australia. There is lots of sand here, not much soil.

The divinity of Jesus as the Christ

i have been curious why the jw's and other cults claim that the bible does not support the notion of the christ as divine (god).

can anyone offer an explanation?

my reading of the texts brings me to that conclusion.

I too will looking forward to anything you have to say in regard to JWs altering the meaning of the original text when translating the NWT.

Could it be possible that the NWT is 'different', not 'wrong'?

Hi all, this is my first post here, so please be gentle with me.

A lot has been written about the alleged 'mental health problems' of Jehovahs Witnesses. From what is on the WWW, anyone would be forgiven for believing that only JWs have these problems.

Are 'mental health problems' found amongst members of the Baptists, Methodists, Church of Christ?

Of couse there are. So why single out JWs?

Jerry Bergman makes it sound as if 'mental health problems' are unique to JWs, or at the very least, if you are a JW, you will end up with 'mental health problems'.

In recent history, there have occured within the western('Christian')world, numerous shootings and bombings in schools and elesewhere, caused by people with 'mental health problems'. You can be rest assured that none of these massacres were the work of any JWs. How can we be so sure?

Because if there was a JW involved in any of these occurrences, the whole world would know the religious affiliation of that person.
