King of The North: circular news top?
by Gorbatchov infriends,.
with the circular speading of my satire tread about the annual meeting on many different ways, even informal across the jw organization, i'm pretty sure that the news about russia (new king of the north) is not real.. there was a moment i thought that it was a coïncidence that incoming messages mentioned it also.. now i suppose it started all with my op, went trending through the organization (even through bethel belgium) and became a story on it's own.. this is not realy my style and i'm not proud of it.. g..

For what it’s worth, last Sunday night my JW sister called my Dad from across the country to tell him that the King of the North is Russia.

There will be no fifth generation of jw’s in my family.
by longgone ini’m happy to say that, yet as always with the wts there is a price to be paid.
i’ll explain how this is working out.there’s a new development in the family that’s making the final break possible, and sadly is where the penalty for leaving is going to happen.
only one person of all the jw family history is left that could start a fifth, he’s my nephew.

Only one person of all the JW family history is left that could start a fifth, he’s my nephew. He’s seventeen and has recently realized TTATT.
This is where the tragedy is going to be. He’s keeping quiet until he gets things in order before leaving openly. He said he knows his parents will not speak with him once they know his position even if he isn’t disfellowshipped or disassociates himself. He said he loves his family and I hope that won’t happen.Though of course eventually it will come to that, he won’t go the rest of his life pretending to be a Witness.
Thanks to the baptizing of children, as he was only about fifteen he loses his parents. If not for that it would be different. Sadly this is true for many of us here.
I have not gone into the details of the entire family drama that is ongoing because of the religion. The bottom line in this story is that the Watchtower cult continues to break up families day every day. The only good part is what the I stated in the topic, no fifth generation in this family will suffer at the hands of the WTS.
My heart is hurting over the whole situation, but those of us in the family who left will do our best to help him. Thank you for listening and your support.🌿

Jehovah’s Witnesses Really Have No Power Over You Unless YOU Let It Happen!
by minimus inshould i go to a judicial committee and perhaps get disfellowshipped?
should i talk to the elders just because they say they want to talk to me?
should i simply disassociate myself and have nothing to do with the organization?.

I decided to d/a so they would leave me alone, as they refused to accept my repeated requests to do so. I felt I had no choice for my safety as they were becoming aggressive. Highly unusual as far as I’ve known.
I thought by making it formal they would be reasonably sure I wouldn’t influence their followers since no is permitted/allowed to converse with anyone who attempts to leave even peacefully. I had never contacted any of them anyway. I really don’t underrstand their persistence.
I didn’t want to play by their rules, but I needed peace of mind. I also filed a police report as my attorney suggested. This gives me a second layer of protection. In my disassociation letter I stated they were to never to come to my home again, including elders. Should they disregard my wishes again it will be considered harassment.
This was perhaps an unusual case, I’ve never heard or could even imagine this happening in the organization. Maybe a new directive from the cult leaders, who knows. Over two years ago when I joined this forum for support through my attempted fade someone posted that a person can’t leave the JW religion with their dignity intact.
Separately, I apologize for the formatting in this post, new tablet/operating system that I’m just learning.

Have the Kingdom Hall's discontinued using mailboxes?
by longgone inabout one month ago, i sent my disassociation letters out, one was addressed to their headquarters in ny.
(usa) and three were addressed to the kingdom halls in my area.. now the strangest thing has happened, two of the letters that i sent to the local khs were returned to me by the post office labeled "return to sender-no mail recepticle-unable to forward.
" one came last week, and another one today.

About one month ago, I sent my disassociation letters out, one was addressed to their Headquarters in NY. (USA) and three were addressed to the Kingdom Halls in my area.
Now the strangest thing has happened, two of the letters that I sent to the local KHs were returned to me by the post office labeled "Return to sender-No mail recepticle-Unable to forward." One came last week, and another one today. The third (and most important) was addressed to the Hall I formerly attended, it hasn't been returned but it would seem it will be any day now.
I wonder why there aren't mailboxes at these Kingdom Halls, or is this a standard practice everywhere now?
I hope that the one I sent to NY is sufficient in itself, and the local Kingdom Halls will be informed. I just want this local bunch to stay away from me, I thought this would take care of it. 😟

Overlapping Generations
by JRK ini remember when that came out, my mother didn't catch it in the original article in the wt.
it was in one of the review "do you remember" thingies that she caught it.
she asked me if it means what she thought it meant.

My thought is that although there was no mass exodus immediately, it did make many JW's realize that the organization invents new lies in an attempt to cover up their old lies! Armageddon was supposedly around the corner and still is after over one hundred years. 😒
I gather this from how often it comes up on this forum as one of the reasons that people begin to wake up and leave eventually. It made no sense to me so I started questioning everything else.(Officially disassociated myself last month.)

My JW Elder Brother Passed Away
by minimus inhe was basically a good man, just a believer in the religion.
when we were both elders we were best of friends and then things deteriorated when i was not an elder for a while.
then after becoming an elder again, i slowly drifted away from the religion and he drifted further away from me.

What Is The Most Ridiculous Thing You Have Heard From A Witness?
by minimus ini remember an elder questioning a woman who had admitted to giving and receiving oral sex from her unbelieving mate.
he asked her the most intimate questions which clearly flustered her.
interestingly, she “confessed “ to the elders because her conscience bothered her.

Sunday morning Watchtower lesson.
The scripture about the feminine vessel being the weaker one was cited in the paragraph. A sister commented that a man is strong like a beer stein and a woman is like a fine crytal glass...😒😒
