Listening to that crap right now. Conductor just pontificated that coming out of "babylon captivity" was proved because we don't speak or write Greek or Latin anymore. WTF???

Pseudo history in Watchtower today 😂
by Gorbatchov ingorby went to the kh for family reasons today.. and landed right away middle in a pseudo history watchtower article.
just that aspect of the jw belief he is so sensative about.. so 1918 and 1919 are changed with one mark of a pencil.
the argument of change was in the past the argument of the doctrine.

So, the Womens March ... What Is It For?
by Simon init seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.
i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?
... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?

Right now, the left is a pitiful wreck of whiny annoying cretins that need a slap.
The most pointed, truthful statement I have had the pleasure of reading in some time.

This is an election where lies triumphed over truth.
No, more accurately it is an election where one set of lies were less objectionable than the other set of lies.

You have a man who assaulted women.
You have a woman who bragged and laughed about getting a rapist off.
You have many women who say the assaulted them.
You have a woman who stupidly put secure emails at risk and they were leaked.
Why aren't these two in jail?
The fact they are not in jail is in itself more than enough reason to protest.
And yet you don't see many protesting, shouting obscenities, burning vehicles, smashing businesses windows.

He poses a clear and present danger to advancements made in women's rights.
Which rights specifically? And when you list them include the proof for each assertion.

These women "protesting" were pretty much all dressed for the weather, they all had a satisfactory breakfast, they all had the financial ability to get to D.C. from wherever they traveled from, many of them probably even had the support of the men in their lives. To complain and whine about their treatment as women is hypocritical IMO. Let's see them engage in the exact same protest in countries that truly mistreat women. The countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, China...and what about going and protesting against female "circumcision" in the countries that ritualistically practice that? No, in my opinion these are just entitlement minded females who have nothing better to do with their time than whine.
Now let the bashing begin. I have stated an opinion and I stand by it.

Being a Rude Jerk, It's Awesome!
by Simon inmaybe it's a british thing, but we tend to be polite.
too polite.. even if someone is inconsiderate, we apologize as though we did something wrong.. prime offenders?
people in supermarkets, specifically costco.. they have nice wide isles and yet somehow, for some reason, some idiot will find a way to put their trolley sideways and keep a hand on it while reaching for something, thus blocking the entire isle.. or another favorite ... you're going through the entrance and someone just stops, maybe to answer their phone.. how about you wait in a queue at a checkout for ages and when it's their turn, then they start looking for their purse.. how many times have you thought "idiot" or muttered under your breath?.

@Simon - Wish I could have given more than just one thumb up.
I really enjoy being in the 10 items or less line with my two or three items behind some jack-wad with a cart (trolley) full of sh-t and say in my most sarcastic voice, "Oh look! a math major that cannot read! Or are you a language major who cannot count?"

Are baptized Witnesses that are no longer in the "truth", but were NEVER DF'D, now to be shunned and treated like disfellowshipped ones?
by Dunedain ina relative of mine was telling me, that in his, and a few neighboring congregations, there is a little confusion amongst some of the jw's about this "issue".
some families are having a hard time about whether certain relatives will be attending certain family functions, because some family members that are no longer in the "truth", might be invited to these functions.
mind you, these persons were never disfellowshipped.

anyone called a brother " who is practicing serious sin. This is true even if no congregation action has been taken, AS MAY BE THE CASE WITH AN INACTIVE ONE.
Inactivity is the serious sin in Dubby land.

Jeezus, at the rate they're going, they're gonna start ostracizing anyone who just turns down a talk, doesn't answer at the WT study, or fails to get X amount of hours in field service...
That's where I am at presently. No brazen sins, no "judicial" actions. Do I care that the hypocrites shun me? HELL NO!

because their own fleshly BROTHER is going to be there, and he is not "in the truth". He is also NOT disfellowshipped.
That is how the little Hitler mistrial serpent where I am at treats his brother, even to the point of refusing assistance to his JW mother if his brother might be there.
