  I was sent the link to jay double U dot org and could only stomach about two minutes. The "final part of the final part" of the last days? Because of COVID-19? It is a serious health issue, but there have been many more hospitalizations, and deaths just due to the flu, and these New York bozos never went on and on about THOSE being a sign of the "final part of the final part" of the last days! Stop the frigging fear mongering and panic! It is serious, but IT IS NOT the end of the world and civilization!!

  Meetings via video conference

  so i just heard from a very reliable source that meetings, at least in some locations are now being video fed to the sheeple.

  and guess what?

  one can even comment and be seen by other members of the conference, for more encouragement.. i did see though that the service providing this video tie-in has as part of their tos this: you will receive a notification (visual or otherwise) when recording is enabled.

  As another thread mentioned the Zoom.us website and app is what will be used. Eldurs are contacting members of the congregation and informing that they have to set up an online account. I personally see this as a way to even more closely monitor what the JW's are doing now that they cannot guilt people into showing up at the KH. Perhaps even using it as a means to defray the expenses associated with live streaming a two way conference by selling off the vacant KH's. After all unless things really go south expenses, and we all know how inflated those are, will still accrue for the buildings.

  I do not feel the least bit sorry for them. I just quote them a scripture and send them on their way. "For whatever a person is sowing, this he will also reap." You made the choice to have only the most basic education, you made the choice to perform little or no work, you made the choice not to lay aside anything for the future, you made the choice to pin your hopes and dreams and future well being on fairy dust and false promises, now YOU can reap the results of those poor choices!

  See a lot of messages on social about UN taking over.

  Yeah, I noticed that too. My uber-dub sister sent me an email about the U.N coming for religion and it had the words "peace and security" in it. She was absolutely giddy about, "this is it. You better get back to the organization."

  I did see though that the service providing this video tie-in has as part of their TOS this: You will receive a notification (visual or otherwise) when recording is enabled. If you do not consent to being recorded, you can choose to leave the meeting or webinar.

  Now while that may be standard language, and nothing to worry about I wonder exactly how the WTB&T$ will use it. If one can be seen by other members, and you do not agree to being video or audio recorded you can CHOOSE TO LEAVE. Of course I may be wrong, but it seems all will know that you left, and of course you will be singled out for not being, "of our sort; for if they had been of our sort, they would have remained with us. But they went out so that it might be shown that not all are of our sort." Not to mention that one will be expected to be dressed in suit and tie or dress.
  
  

  Then there is this: Prohibited Use. You agree that You will not use, and will not permit any End User to use, the Services to: ...engage in activity that is illegal, fraudulent, false, or misleading. Well there goes JW's obeying God as ruler rather than man, and we all pretty well understand that much of what is promoted at JW meetings is false. So they will have to lie to use this service.

  of all the things people decided they needed to stockpile for a potential quarantine.

  all of the stores around my area ran completely out of toilet paper this last weekend.

  I would say it all depends on the surgeon.

  A woman went to a "cheap" surgeon who got mixed up with the implants and gave her siliputty instead of silicone. Now instead of 38 D's she has 38 longs.

  “I’m young and healthy so coronavirus won’t affect me” (why we need to stop this disease at ALL costs!)

  even if you are young and heathy there are very good reasons to fear this disease and take drastic actions to avoid it individually, and halt it together as communities.

  not only would it be traumatic as a society to lose so many old and unwell family members and friends, but survivors of the disease may suffer significant health problems in the future.

  survivors of the first sars virus in 2003 have suffered significant lung problems.

  And no more "hugs, kisses, or hand-shaking. We (the eldurs) recommend elbow bumps", was the announcement made in my locality.

  Now I wonder IF it were me attending in person just how hard could I make that elbow bump? Maybe to the ribs of an eldur or two?
