How would I respond? I wouldn't. I wouldn't start that waste of time conversation in the first place. I have much better ways to spend my time.

The unfolding crisis in Afghanistan is completely Joe Biden's fault, nobody else's
by LoveUniHateExams inso, there's been a lot of talk on social media, blaming trump for the current crisis that began at the weekend.. it's a load of bullsh!t from deluded people who are desperate to blame anyone but joe biden, the idiot they voted for or at least wanted to win last november.. there is only one person, just one person, to blame: joe biden.. he has the heavy burden of making tough presidential decisions.. and after this debacle, it's reasonable to ask if he's up to making such decisions..

This is the kind of animals the Tolly-Bahn, as all the "woke" ass-hats now pronounce it, are.
I still believe that IF the so called ROE were done away with and the soldiers that were sent to that s//t-hole had been allowed to do their jobs in the same style of guerilla fighting that the enemy does this may not have been the outcome. The U.S. and other countries that want to "fight" like gentlemen need to put down their purses, and fight like men, TO WIN! Just my opinion though.

Afghanistan-Kabul falls to Taliban - U.S. Embassy staff evacuated by helicopter
by fulltimestudent inin a scene reminiscent of the fall of saigon, the usa embassy staff have been evacuated by helicopter.. for a third time in asia ( a fourth, if you count usa supported chiang kai shek's defeat in mainland china) usa supported forces have been defeated.
more than 1 trillion dollars wasted and a huge deathtoll (both sides) afghanistan is back to where it started,.
will the taliban behave differently this time ?

They left with the world laughing at their stupidity and incompetence.
The enemies of the United States no longer fear this country, and the allies of the United States no longer trust this country. I cannot say I blame either side.

He's even left US citizens at the mercy of the Taliban.
This is a quote from a "news" source in the United States.
Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby confirmed plans to receive refugees. "We want to have the capacity to get up to several thousand immediately, and want to be prepared for the potential of tens of thousands," Kirby said. Kirby also indicated that American citizens will not be given priority over Afghan refugees in the evacuation from Kabul.
Once again the left in the U.S. shows their utter contempt and hate for their own country! There is NO f--king way this can be spun to make it good, even by the willfully stupid!

perhaps the Taliban has evolved toward not being such a brutal oppressive organization
And the answer is already there. Taliban fighters shot and killed a woman for not wearing a burqa in Afghanistan Tuesday.
I am sure though that somehow the left, just like messiah-lite biden blaming Trump for the fall of Afghanistan, will say that is Trump's fault too.

If all GB members died at once?
by Jofi_Wofo ini don't suppose anyone knows for sure, but do we have any kind of hint of what would happen if all of the governing body members died at the same time- such that nobody was left to appoint successors?
in lieu of any solid evidence, i'd also be interested in hearing some speculation based on what we already know about the organizational structure.. it would certainly throw a wrench in either the teaching that the faithful and discreet slave will survive into the great tribulation and/or the implied doctrine that the the gb succession arrangement is justifiable biblically.
let me firmly disclaim any implication that i am encouraging violence or wishing death on the governing body.

The "helpers" would take over (IMO), 'nu-lite' would be disclosed that the "helpers" are the princes of the New World who must be unquestionably obeyed, and that JW's are in the last nano-second, of the last second, of the last seconds, of the last minute, of the last minutes, of the last hour, of the last hours, of the last day, and they better be ready to hang onto their asses for the Big A. is starting.

as a non vaccinated person you represent a health risk to your fellow workers
Still waiting for someone to logically and intelligently explain exactly how that works. IF the COVID jab is so safe and is the "silver bullet" as it seems to be claimed by the jab proponents then it should not matter to the 'vaccinated' person how someone who has adopted a wait and see strategy is any kind of danger to the COVID jabbed person.
So far it seems that the only alleged benefit to taking the jab is that when you catch the next variant you might not get quite as sick. And there are a number of stories out there now that indicate a jabbed person can transmit the virus just as readily as anyone else.
Imagine if you will a virus that is so deadly you have to be tested to know if you have it, and a "vaccine" that is so safe you have to be threatened to get it.

@frozen2018 - you make a valid point, regardless of anyone who disagrees. IF the COVID jab is so safe as the government claims and Big Pharma claims, then let them put their $$$$$ where their mouths are and assume ALL financial liability for any and all side effects as you said.
Of course they won't, just as sure as their will be thumbs down for my comment.

“Well at least he doesn’t make mean tweets”
by minimus ini asked a tennis friend this morning what he thought about what’s going on in afghanistan and he said it was terrible.
he was a military man and identifies as a middle of the road republican.
he supported most of trump’s policies but voted for biden because he couldn’t take trump’s mean tweets.

"you kill them, you kill their families, you kill their friends and you kill their goats." That's what it takes but civilized Western countries will never do it.
And that is exactly the trouble between today's U.S. conservatives and "woke" democrats. The conservatives do not seem to have the cajones to get down in the mud and get dirty to do anything, because "mean tweets" hurt the other sides precious little feelings.
BTW Min. we both better be careful or someone will say they don't like us, or this site anymore.
