What JWs don't know they believe

in a post this morning, i suggested that a way to wake up fellow congregants is to plainly comment or make talks on teachings and rules the jws don't really know too well.

the idea is that you can say these things, other jws will be bothered by the comments, but will not be able to do anything about it as this is the official teaching or stand on this or that.

the key here is that when troubling rules and teachings are thought in the watchtower, they generally use wording that makes them go down easy.

This is a great point. In my last ever allowed public prayer instead of the time worn, "Jehovah, we pray for the time you bring the promised end to wicked people and we inherit the earth as you promised," I re-worded it to say the exact same thing. Of course I got called on the carpet for saying, "Jehovah, we pray for the time very soon now when you will kill nearly 8 billion men, women, and children so that only the very few who are baptized Jehovah's Witnesses are left alive on the earth."

Hey, it is what the former more popular request actually says.

pfizer's two-dose covid-19 vaccine has received full approval from the us food and drug administration (fda) - the first jab to be licensed in the nation.. .

the vaccine had initially been given emergency use authorisation.

A few other questions?

If you are one of the sheeple who believe and spout off about how an individual who makes an informed decision to hold off on getting the COVID jab should not receive medical care IF they get sick "due to their utter selfishness, sucks medical resources and time away from genuinely sick people"; do you feel that homosexuals should not be allowed medical treatment if/when they contract HIV/AIDS? What about smokers who get lung cancer? Alcoholics who get cirrhosis? Obese people who get heart disease or diabetes?

Already that kind of 'thinking' has led to death panels in the U.S. where medical centers are taking people, who for one reason or another have decline to be injected with the gene therapy COVID jab, off transplant wait lists. That effectively is sentencing those people to death as a penalty for making a personal decision.

i’m in no position to leave the organisation, maybe some people will see that as weak or whatever, but we have to all go down our own path in life.. i would like to be able to wake people up in my congregation, how do you think best to do this?

get off the school, and stop commenting at the meetings

I did that. I would also add, quit singing or even mouthing the words to the songs. There is no law that you must bow your head for prayers, so quit doing that. Quit the trained seal clapping for Sunday talks. If you feel you must report F.S. time, just report that you 'participated'.

How would I respond? I wouldn't. I wouldn't start that waste of time conversation in the first place. I have much better ways to spend my time.

so, there's been a lot of talk on social media, blaming trump for the current crisis that began at the weekend.. it's a load of bullsh!t from deluded people who are desperate to blame anyone but joe biden, the idiot they voted for or at least wanted to win last november.. there is only one person, just one person, to blame: joe biden.. he has the heavy burden of making tough presidential decisions.. and after this debacle, it's reasonable to ask if he's up to making such decisions..

I still believe that IF the so called ROE were done away with and the soldiers that were sent to that s//t-hole had been allowed to do their jobs in the same style of guerilla fighting that the enemy does this may not have been the outcome. The U.S. and other countries that want to "fight" like gentlemen need to put down their purses, and fight like men, TO WIN! Just my opinion though.

in a scene reminiscent of the fall of saigon, the usa embassy staff have been evacuated by helicopter.. for a third time in asia ( a fourth, if you count usa supported chiang kai shek's defeat in mainland china) usa supported forces have been defeated.

more than 1 trillion dollars wasted and a huge deathtoll (both sides) afghanistan is back to where it started,.

will the taliban behave differently this time ?

Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby confirmed plans to receive refugees. "We want to have the capacity to get up to several thousand immediately, and want to be prepared for the potential of tens of thousands," Kirby said. Kirby also indicated that American citizens will not be given priority over Afghan refugees in the evacuation from Kabul.

Once again the left in the U.S. shows their utter contempt and hate for their own country! There is NO f--king way this can be spun to make it good, even by the willfully stupid!

And the answer is already there. Taliban fighters shot and killed a woman for not wearing a burqa in Afghanistan Tuesday.

I am sure though that somehow the left, just like messiah-lite biden blaming Trump for the fall of Afghanistan, will say that is Trump's fault too.

If all GB members died at once?

i don't suppose anyone knows for sure, but do we have any kind of hint of what would happen if all of the governing body members died at the same time- such that nobody was left to appoint successors?

in lieu of any solid evidence, i'd also be interested in hearing some speculation based on what we already know about the organizational structure.. it would certainly throw a wrench in either the teaching that the faithful and discreet slave will survive into the great tribulation and/or the implied doctrine that the the gb succession arrangement is justifiable biblically.

let me firmly disclaim any implication that i am encouraging violence or wishing death on the governing body.
