is bible prophecy now starting to come true regarding a prelude to the great tribulation?.
full disclosure: i still don't believe in the bible's claims about the existence of the supernatural, even of jehovah god (i'm an atheist and a scientific/philosophical naturalist), but i am asking this question because recent events are starting to seem (to me) to fit well the description of some prophecies in the bible.
consider the following.. several hours ago (on 11-26-2021) as i was about to enter a local fred meyer store of my city (in suburb or small city in the metro area of a large city) a person i know told me that a moment earlier a person left the store in a hurry with a cart load up with unpaid merchandise (i think i was told it was groceries but i don't remember that for sure).
The strain is called Omicron is said to be far more transmissible than the Delta strain and more dangerous. The news says it is mutating rapidly and has multiple new mutations.
No surprise there. Dr. Josef Mengele I mean Faux-Xi, has had two years since the start of the planned "pandemic" to engineer new strains that will be more successful in the coming global depopulation agenda. Just wait until one that is 50% more fatal than the ones they have already engineered shows up.
Nothing to do with the bible there.
we all know the now famous quote, "all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.
" well, this point is regurgitated in the latest wt, along with yet another new bunker scene:.
"during the great tribulation, we may receive instructions that seem strange, impractical, or illogical .
If you think you miss the "spiritual conversations" at JW "get-togethers", reading that thread should immunize you for a while
That's why I stop in there every now and then. The slobbering worship of all things governing body, the way they dog-pile on anyone who makes a comment even remotely sounding like some actual thought went into the comment before posting it is enough to make me want to run, and run fast as far away as I can get from anything JW.
"Sister Has-been, if I buy these tight pants will any hot brothers really finally give me the eye? According to Ralph Walls they will."

Perhaps they'll have to excavate basements to WTBT$ specifications.
Could be. And remember what Rubber Face said about painting with a 2" paint brush? They will have those poor Dubs digging out a basement bunker with teaspoons!

My take on the WT paragraph?
An elder is concerned about a fellow believer’s choices in dress or grooming. The elder will ask himself, ‘Is there a Scriptural reason preventing me from saying something?’ Conscious of the need to be controlling, he might ask another elder for his backup. Together they will review their personal viewpoints on dress and grooming. Then they will arbitrarily make a list of dos and don’ts. They feel that Christians have no right to express their individual taste even within Scriptural limits. So in determining what counsel is needed, the elders will consider if the person’s choices comply with their own personal tastes in dress or grooming. Jehovah's Witnesses do well to realize that two opinionated Christians will make personal choices for them, and to avoid making the governing body sad that must be acceptable. Jehovah's Witnesses should strive to always impose their own standards of right and wrong on fellow believers.
. . .until a squirrel goes by and they lose focus.
Thank you for providing me my first good laugh of the day.
They will get a stern talking too from the eldurrs, and then they will have five days of eternal life deducted from the back end?
i need a question answered.
i know of a situation where a single sister took in a single brother as a renter, so she could be his caregiver, as he was very along in years.. long story short, they were forced to get married.
i believe it was labeled under "appearance of evil" by the elders.. my question is: what do the elders base this on?
JWs do have warped thinking patterns...
There are plenty of publications that say that if you stay overnight with a member of the opposite sex, you probably have committed fornication. . .
And the JW's have the nerve to claim that non-JW's are sex crazed? JW's seem to always have sex on their minds, especially when they worry about who is doing it with whom.
