Is it okay to express your love for Jesus as a Jehovah's witness?
Not since the governing body elevated themselves to a position higher than Jesus.. JW's need to profess their looovve for the g.b.
is it okey to express your love for jesus as a jehovah's witness?.
it should be, even though it would lift some eyebrows in the congregation.
let's see what jesus said:.

on a recent jw.org video update joel dellinger makes thr case that the phrase " they keep saying to the mountains and to the rocks: “fall over us" in revelation 6:16 is a reference to symbolic mountain like organisation at the time of the end.what do you think?.
https://youtu.be/y7gzbkcbl8c.
What do you think?
If one is to believe anything in the drug fueled hallucination known as Revelations it would be symbolic. Remember everything in Revelations is symbolic EXCEPT the magic number of 144,000 which is literal, according to WTB.&T$$
i saw this thread on reddit.
i think the reason for this is that the 1975 fiasco is never mentioned in the jw religion.
nobody mentioned it to me when i came in the years after.. the problem with this is that all the sad stories were never told (or hushed up) of people who sold off homes, etc.
When you think about it, he was right. We make our choices, good and wrong.
Don't blame others.
Well said. I am not sure why someone would disagree with your comment, unless they feel that people are too stupid to make their own choices and they also blindly follow whatever they are told to do.
If someone tells you to jump off a cliff and you do don't blame them for your injuries!

I step away for the weekend and 10 more pages pop up! Cedars must be LOVIN' all this attention!
is it difficult to believe in a loving god?.
if yes, i understand you.
it has been difficult to me too.
I’m not going to punish her future generations of children for it for all eternity.
And yet God says this, "I Jehovah your God am a God . . . bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation."
So why do JW's not imitate THAT? They should continually punish their children, their grandchildren, and if they live long enough their great grandchildren for any infractions. I wonder how that would go with secular authorities? Seems like imperfect people have some standards that are higher than a divine being.
can a witness date and court a jw student if he intends to get baptized?
.
One can marry someone intending to be a JW, however IF they do they will likely be marked and soft shunned as "bad" association. It has even been "recommended" (and we all know what that means in JW land) that one should not even marry a recently baptized JW until enough time has gone by that they have proved themselves worthy of being considered exemplary. Even Top-shelf Tony yapped about the poor choice a woman would make marrying a JW that was not appointed by 23.

First of all, this arrangement was God's arrangement to be able to forgive us.
Agreed, only love would prompt one to forgive someone for something they NEVER did! Only love would prompt one to kill thousands of innocent people for something that only ONE person did! Only love would be the reason to punish millions for what only TWO humans (allegedly) did! If a person today did those exact same things they would be termed psychopathic criminals!
the bible depicts king david as a deeply flawed, unsavory character, the perpetrator of evil acts including: murder, insurrection, adultery, banditry, and extortion.
the sanitizing of david’s character during the following centuries and millennia created an image that idolizes him as the paragon of virtue, closely associated with the promised messiah.
my study identifies the davidic sanitizing process.. https://www.academia.edu/s/390a7ba170?source=link .
I thought David was a bit of a twit.
That isn't the way I would have spelled "twit".
what do people usually think of when they buy a house?
"i will probably live here for a long time" (you're invested with your time), "i will save money by building equity over time".
(you've invested in yourself financially for the long run) of course, i wouldn't be able to list the numerous reasons why people want to buy a house.
would it be considered being worldly and materialistic and an overall poor investment (spiritually speaking)?
This is the general opinion among JW's where I live. Comments usually follow the thread that the time maintaining a home could be better spent in field serve-us, if you have a home you should do what Jesus told the rich young man, "If you want to be perfect, go sell your belongings and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven" the poor being WT, JW's are going to lose everything anyway in the great persecution so why own a home you cannot keep, and many more judgemental statements.
Fortunately I was taught different by my parents, even though they were solidly PIMI before they got kicked to the curb when they were older and less useful to the WT. Work hard, save, purchase property, and I was able to retire comfortably in my late forties, and enjoy a paid for home.
regarding the governing body update 3 video on resuming meetings in person, i am wondering:.
what is the purpose of wearing masks and to sit keeping distances if you shake hands and hug each other before and after the meetings?.
For some reason, they are all wearing masks, except for the speaker, who takes his off in a video clip.
That's because holy SPIrT magically stops all the germs and virus' at the edge of the stage like an invisible wall.
