Watchtower lawyer fined for misleading the court
by Diogenesister inwatchtower lawyer david brumley has been fined for misleading the court during the discovery process of the montana case.
the result was another 17 months of the courts time and the plaintiff having to produce evidence that wtpa did have a pivotal role in congregational business, which brumley had denied hoping that the courts would take his word for it.
he will be personally responsible for reimbursing the costs accrued by the plaintiff, due to his misleading affidavit.. see mark o donnell's twitter statement here:https://twitter.com/mark_j_odonnell/status/1562205475374043136?t=emdh163jnfi8kb6zch-uga&s=19.

C'Mon man! He was just engaging in "theocratic warfare"!
I wonder how WT is spinning the result of his being a dumb-ass?

The elephant in the room post
by joey jojo inis it ok to talk about the ongoing post about 'he who must not ne named"?.
my perspective: im a neutral observer.

@joey - "The whole thing seems a bit pathetic and smells like professional jealousy."
I have broad shoulders and can take the weight of all the down votes I will get. I have to agree with your quoted comment. While most do not feel that way I am of the opinion that some, even on this board, who have their You Tube channels would fall into the category of ones who display jealousy for the followers he may have had at one time and needed to do what they could to take him down to boost their own You Tube presence. The fact that he is a hypocritical jerk was just the convenient "mean tweets" excuse to pile on and keep beating a dead horse. At this point there is no meaningful new information to bring to the table, and it should be put to rest.
Now go ahead, down vote me to your hearts content, ban me, ignore me, slam me with your opinions as to why am wrong, I voiced my opinion and said what I meant, and meant what I said. No apologies!

Immidiate regret. Third rule broken, namely: passion rules reason
by Judgerussellford ini chose world events as a topic because it was the only one that seemed fitting enough.
i left work early (if you can call 445-3 early) so i could get some shopping done, fill up, grab a scratcher for the wife and be on my way home.
after i filled the tank i strolled into the tiny room of the gas station, to find myself behind an argument just started.

nationwide, almost one in five people (47.1 million) in the U.S. are living with a mental health condition.
The number of Democratic voters in the U.S. is reported to be around 49 million. Coincidence? I think not!

Do you pray?
by Fisherman ini’ve always had a personal relationship with god that is not affected by any issues or controversies i have with anybody..
-
FedUpJW
Yeah, I don't think so. Especially if I want something to go a certain way, I pray for just the opposite of what I want or need. That seems to be a sure fire way to get it done. After years of having prayers either unanswered or answered 180° from what I prayed about I figured out that it was mostly an exercise in futility.

And notice the "son" in the video accepts the mask that someone else had used and handled and left laying on the germ laden counter.
Yep looks just like the safety the JW's fall all over themselves to practice at their in person meetings. Handling objects in the hall that everybody else has had their paws on, then handling their masks. False sense of security. And of course with their spouting how much "peace" they have it makes me think that maybe it will be them that face sudden destruction. Whenever they are saying "Peace, and security"?
I also noticed that Curzan said we have to put aside our preferences and follow Jehovah's direction. . .OR WHATEVER direction the slave gives. What happened to JW's following what their Bible says at Act 5:29?
Then he quotes the Bible and says we have to "keep perceiving what the will of Jehovah is." And follows that up with asking how we can do that. Then spouts a bunch of useless advice, because he nullifies everything he jsut said in a somewhat veiled manner when he say that the only way to perceive what God's direction is is to OBEY the governing body! Again totally ignoring what the bible says about obeying men instead of God, or that "Each one will carry his own load."
Of course anyone with even a modest amount of intelligence and perception will realize this is just another pant-load of ----!

making out like a bandit
by enoughisenough inhere is a practice i only recently learned about and am actually interested in learning more details...some of you may have experience on the subject.
i always thought it marvelous, loving, and kind how the brothers would go in ( at their own expense) after disasters and repair homes of the witnesses who had been adversely effected.
i personally have worked freely helping to clean and repair after flooding.

you can go miles away and assist while a local person without means have their home fall down around them
It's the exact same thing with their field misery. They will spend thousands of hours getting some poor schmuck in the front door of the kingdom hall, while totally ignoring long time members as they shuffle out the back door!
WT doesn't have any genuine love or care for people, they ONLY care about raking in as much $$$$$ as they can.

New and improved?
by tenyearsafter ini have a family member who had been df'ed for 15 years or so...recently they reinstated as a jw.
when i asked what motivated them to make that decision, the response was to be able to see family and old friends.
they insisted that things were different now.

Has WT changed? Their own Bible answers that question.
(Jeremiah 13:23) . . .Can a Cushʹite change his skin, or a leopard its spots?. . .

@ enough
Yes, I remember when I was still in pretty well the exact same schedule where I am. Shortly before I finally got FedUp with it all I would turn down any group assignment and go alone. The last Saturday morning that I met, the group overseer thought he would shame me and asked, "What do you think is wrong with us that you do not join the group? Or do you just think you are more important that the group arrangement?" I replied in a forceful voice, "No, it's just that I intend to MAKE MY TIME COUNT, not go out and JUST COUNT MY TIME!"

Money donated for a specific reason
by enoughisenough ini decided to do this posting because of some comments in the post about pensions.
in the mid to late 1980's there was a flood and the local kingom hall was damaged and many of the friends homes were damaged...groups came in to help repair.
my then mother-in-law literally lost everything-she had no home to repair...she had been renting a small trailer and it washed away.

I know I’m giving my age away. If somebody is really broke, they eat at home.
This will make two of us giving away our age. As a youngster I vividly remember that my family ate at home, all the time. My mother had a cookbook titled "101 ways to cook liver." We ate ground liver, liver loaf, fried liver, baked liver, broiled liver, hot liver, cold left-over liver. Because in those days it only cost $ .03-$ .05 (U.S.) per pound, it was pig liver. Once in awhile we had a rare "treat". Beef liver! That was when my father would get an employment bonus. Beef liver was a whopping $ .15-$ .20 (U.S.).
I was nearly seventeen before the first time we ate in a cafe.
