  New Convention Song “ It Will Not Be Late”

  this made me chuckle.

  a new song that they are encouraged to practice for the convention.. “ we know your day will come, sure as the rising sun.

  no matter how long it takes , it will not be late” …………... it is based on habakkuk 2 , we discussed this in depth around 1973/1974.

  Advice to reduce hours earn less and spend more time on the ministry

  the advice to reduce work and earn less to spend more time preaching has not aged well.. the cost of living crisis means many have more going out on necessities than they have coming in.. so many asked their employer to reduce their hours and refused promotion only to see their colleagues go up the ladder when they stayed lowly position with rubbish jobs thinking the end will be here soon.

  next week midweek meeting is all about preparing for an economic crisis.. they say have a go bag and new advice for all jws to store food and water at home and grow a vegetable garden, i kid you not.

  this is the new direction..

  JW's are so very good at seeing a brother or a sister in a "naked" state and lacking the food sufficient for the day, yet saying to them: “Go in peace, keep warm and well fed.”

  I heard from a PIMI friend who still has some to do with me who said in the area where I live there are couples from THE BRANCH coming to do work on the local KH for nearly three months. There was a letter read that tried to guilt local JW's into furnishing them free living arrangements in apartments/ travel trailers, or "maybe you could move out of your home and stay with another family so one of those couples could stay in your home for that time." Of course never to let a good opportunity go by to beg for money they right on cue said, "If you cannot provide housing you can always have a share by contributing funds."

  after jesus’ birth, why did joseph and mary remain in bethlehem instead of returning home to nazareth?.

  new jun 23 wt....elders to follow gideon example, even if instructions doesn't seems practical, gideon reduced army by 99 % and he obeyed, it could be changes in theocratic direction similar to this.

  what that means?.

  elders will need the courage to follow instructions "may relate to delivering a symbolic hailstone message...".. in another section "major world events may raise some from spiritual slumber".

  But Top-shelf Tony claimed he and the rest of the 144,000 would be doing the killing along with Jesus. And remember according to the Bible it took only one angel to kill 186,000 in one night. That means a mere 62,499 people each for them. Maybe they could spend the rest of the night disposing of bodies?

  i've filed this under news and world events, although i could've posted it under entertainment, lol.

  apparently, joe biden will be seeking re-election for another term in the white house.. this, despite a recent poll showing that 70% of people don't want him to run again.. biden just has to be the worst president i've seen.

  his gaffes, over-relience on a prompter, and, more than any other president, his refusal to answer journalists' questions, all go to make him top of the list in terms of bad presidents.. it will certainly provide entertainment, if nothing else..

  The lack of any real love.

  This was an obvious reason, especially after my parents who sacrificed for and and slaved for WT were kicked to the curb in their old age. Ridiculed and ignored, and then blamed for not doing and giving enough or more.
